Example: During the scene where Rachel takes over the glee club and Santana flips, you can see her wrist is slightly paler where her hand connects to her arm because of the coverup. At least she's considerate in getting such small tattoos, unlike Megan Fox or others.

Huh. From the comments I was expecting a big ol' mess, but that was quite brilliant. You look at the old masters (Lupone, Lansbury) and it's never about hitting every note or copying the band's tempo to a T, it's about the overall performance and I think Lea balanced emotion and vocals perfectly :)

I think she sing this really pretty good. She is really awesome, not perfect yes, but nobody's perfect, she's young, and for me this is an amazing performance, she really have a good and powerful voice for me, she is a great actress. @WKWJodie I agree, I think it's because she's holding the Microphone too close to her mouth. She sounds so breathy here, but I think that may be the reason she's not up to 100%. Don't doubt for a second that she doesn't know it either. If we untrained ears can hear that, so can she. Outside she's confident, cool, comfortable, theatrical. On the inside, cringeing, breating, shaking her head, and most likely shaking from nerves. She knows she didn't sing this 100%.

Her vocals are stable, she is performing the song the way it's always been done by professional broadway starlets, her range is of course perfection, and her vocal quality isn't lacking any. You pop fans are use to loud computerized music, auto tuning, and backtrack playing to cover and vocal faults apparently that is good singing when you need your own CD backing you up.

She is a broadway star for one reason, her voice. Because her acting ain't all that.
