i have a baby scops owl taking residence at my house until she is able to fly. her name is Hazel. i played this for her to see how she would react, and she kept looking out the window for her mum. it broke my heart.

I totally agree with you, this is such an amazing sound. Reminds me of wandering along the little coastal paths of Paxos on a balmy summers eve... heaven on Earth.

Thousands of hours serving the Greek Air Force at peripheral guards,with these birds being my only company. I could never see one, but I always had them as close as 10-20 meters... This voice for me is the most calming, friendly and beutiful sound I ever heard in Nature... Thanks for uploading!!!
