I agree with him - migration is a problem, and I am not even from UK! I know people that went there before the migration boom to _work_ and are doing just fine without social benefits. They are now embarassed of who comes there. If you can sustain yourself from working - fine, migrate to where you work. If you live off from benefits, then GTFO. What country it is doesn't matter. It's a moral hazard to live from others, but going abroad and live _there_ from others is just overkill.

It was a scam from the start.. Going back 30 years. Then you could buy a house for 50 grand and it was 3 to 4 times your annual salary. You had to at least save 10% for the deposit. The banks got greedy, inflated the house prices to lock you into longer payments of interest. Now house prices are so high it's just madness..  Thank god i could do the math even in the 90's 75 grand borrowed to pay back over 25 years 220,000.. I'm glad I walked away that day.

Not sure what planet that woman interviewer lives on. Where she reckons that benefits were more than were needed for living expenses couldn't be further from the truth now. The opposite is in actual fact true...there is now a shortfall in many cases which will lead to people becoming homeless. On this occasion, Nigel I don't agree with these points at all. You talk about people on benefits like it's some bloody easy ride...try it yourself for a few months and see what life is really like.
