After you get the extend laser some of the bosses are just too easy. it's kinda sad.

Also the suicide bullets on the bosses scare me D:

THIS is the game you should do a recovery run on next. The MSX version of this game is damn near impossible to do... especially the fourth level. And believe me, I didn't intentionally figure that out.

OK, never mind, I got that out of the way. But now, there's another problem. Now there's a message saying "initializing the virtual machine is failed." What the heck? What's going on now??? (PS sorry about all the messages :})

Well, that didn't work. I downloaded the bios files that came in a WinRAR archive. I pulled both files out and into a plain file folder. I then downloaded the emulator that alo came in a Rar archive. I pulled the main archive (the emu itself) and into the same file folder. Trying to run the emulator gave me the same message as before. What do you think I am doing wrong? Should I have left the bios files into the RAR and not pulled them out?

Can I have some info where to find a good version of the emulator. I downloaded the emulator from two sites. Trying to open it gave me a message saying it couldn't boot because something called MFC71.DLL was not found...Why is this happening??? Please let me know. I've always wanted to play this game!

Wait a second... So the pilot of the Vic Viper is a green alien?!?! WTF

Not quite. The green alien is actually the villain of this particular Gradius game named Gofer. He also appears in the MSX sequel Nemesis 3: Eve of Destruction. Hope this helps.

Oh and if you were talking about the screen showing the pilot's face, thats probably a colouring problem.

In this game and the original, it is Dr. Venom. Gofer was a Bacterian like Bacterion in Gradius 3, in Gradius 2: The Ambission of Gofer, and Nemesis 3: Eve of Distruction. He was also in Gradius 4: Gofer's Revenge or something. It is not known what race Dr. Venom is from.

This is one of the only Gradius games along with Gaiden I have not played yet but desperately want to. Still great boss run as usual and it gives a good chance to listen to the awesome boss music :)
