  • This is a Green Frog - you can tell by the ridges that continue down the back from the eye. Its scientific name is Lithobates clamitans melanota (formerly Rana c. m.). I have just seen a teal Green Frog here in Ontario, Canada. I think it is just an unusual colouration, but not sure of the science behind it. One reptile & amphibian field guide does say that Green Frogs can even be electric blue. I love the way you are so gentle & respectful of it. Best part of the videos. :)
