Why is this show on the Chiller network? It's not scary unless Vincent saves Katherine from back people and you see the "beast" come alive with fury and rage. But that doesn't happen in every episode, does it? Seems to be for the soap opera channel or lifetime or WE or Oxygen channel...something women would definately endulge in...and some men! lol

its about an a world bellow new york . there was people living there to get away from others and theres one guy named vicent he lives there beacuse he belives if people saw him he would frighted them then one night he came above and found a lady on the side of the road brought her down to help her and when he saw her he fell in love with her and she fell in love with him. its a very long to explain but here is a as much as i can think.if it helps i love watching it !

basically, it was a show about a rich woman falling in love with a man-beast who lived in a magical world that existed under Manhattan. She is attacked and rescued by him. After that, they are bonded together, connected, in a way that one feels what the other is feeling. He, especially, feels everything she's feeling. Only that she's always getting in trouble, because she works for the District Attorney's office and wants to save the world. THe story goes from there and its amazing.

The series was truly ahead of its time and Ron Perlman was magnificent - to convey sorrow, joy and love through all the makeup is a feat in itself. Look what he's done for Hellboy. He and Linda were a pair that's for sure and there will never be another love story like theirs as Catherine and Vincent. Television is such crap these days. I hope Ron does well on Sons of Anarchy beginning in September.

All 3 seasons are out on DVD, I wouldn't bother with Season 3 but the first 2 reminds us of why this was one of the greatest, if not the greatest, TV series ever made. I am doing my best to ensure a revival.

I have grown up with the cartoon version i didnt know that they made this into a tv series. My mom grew up with it though and therefore got me interested in the cartoon version.

Well I caught the end of a couple of episodes when it was on Sci-Fi @ 9:00 am. But I hardly remember what was going on. I gotta buy the DVD.

You know, no matter how it's done, Beauty and the Beast will always pull at my heart strings. A gorgeous girl who is able to look past the beasts ferril exterior and see the beautiful person he is inside. I only hope that happens to me someday...
