  • Hello, I'm Italian and in 24 years I have never seen an Italian eating spaghetti "with meat balls." When I go to Venice, however, this dish is serve to American tourists. The Germans, living relatively close, know that they are not eating Italian and they don't eat this dish

  • @megumi089

That sounds like a great idea!

    Thanks for dropping in OriginalNakedChef

  • The sauce is really thick and dry, you can always add bit of water too

  • @TomAraya23

You are quite right. If you prefer the sauce to be slightly more liquid then do add a small amount of water.

Thanks for pointing that out :)

    OriginalNakedChef

    Thanks for your comms OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef thank you. :)

  • @GiFtEdv3

    Your welcome :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • i cant have sausages or beef , only halal stuff --meh! -_-

  • @sobster123

Instead of using beef, maybe you could use lamb for the meatballs instead?

  • @OriginalNakedChef yey good idea! xD

  • @sobster123

    Enjoy!

Maybe with lamb meatballs you can use a small amount of rosemary.

Rosemary & garlic goes really well with lamb :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • i just don't think you have enough sauce other then that i like the way yu finish off your meatballs in the oven

  • @dragonflychainsaw

That’s a fair comment; my sauce was quite thick in the end. If you were to add a little water into the mix, it would make more of the sauce and a slightly runnier version that some viewers might prefer.

I was asked once if you could cook meatballs in the oven, so I decided to incorporate it into this video.

Thanks for watching and your comms :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • I don´t know the pschcology (spelled wrong dont care)

But I always feel, I need to see the person eat the food at the end.

It seems to complete the experiance, it´s the money shot so to speak =)

  • @hoghash78

I know exactly what you mean. I have watched some other chefs videos and it´s good to see what the food looks like inside and to judge how it taste.

    Thanks for dropping in OriginalNakedChef

  • BaLlZ!

  • @MrMarsel100

    nice one!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • you eat so disgusting.. sorry but that was gross at the end :S

  • mmm fuck yea........

  • Your videos are great. So far i've done this and the red thai curry, both to your recipe! Thanks so much!

  • mmm! and the best part is the end: lip-smackin' good! big thumbs up!!

  • @erosamuk

Nice to hear you like the ending, some people say they dont like the smaking of the lips and the eating bit, I certainly enjoy that bit and it's always good to hear that others do too :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • do you have to add the sausage into the meat and sause, or does it just give out more flavour?

    by the way great recipe!

  • @AKpro3444

You can leave out the chorizo in the sauce if you want, its mainly there to give it a nice flavour.

I would recommend to keep the meat in the meatballs though :)

Thanks for dropping in and glad you liked.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • You forgot the basil..

  • Check out my video response. Out of all the recipes I've watch yours is the closest I've seen to how I make them. :) I too use uncased Italian sausage.

  • @mrtrek64

    I will do that!

    Thanks OriginalnakedChef :)

  • dude never put a lid on pasta...and fry your meatballs in oil dont bake them....you american!

  • @AndrewS1178

    Thanks for your feedback.

In my other meatballs video I did fry the meatballs. Thats how I usually do it.

Someone once asked me if you could bake them instead of frying so I decided to include that in this version.

They are still tasty when baked :) Especially with a nice tasting sauce.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • The other day I was wondering what to do with the packet of leftover Paxo sage and onion stuffing. I mixed it with some mincemeat, half beef and pork, an egg, dash of milk, salt and pepper amd made meatballs. Boy, were they good.

  • @davebarnett1

That sounds like a great mix and I bet they tatsed good!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef They were excellent and light as heaven. Obviously I put water in the mix first!

  • @davebarnett1

    Good job Chef!

It's always nice when you come up with your own creation :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • have you try spaghetti with tomato sauce and creamcheese taste good

  • @daviddakid23psn

I must admit I havent tried that!

    Maybe I am missing out.

Sounds like that could be nice :)

Thanks for sharing that with us.

    Original Naked Chef

  • So glad I found your channel!!! I am going to try out your recipe today. Your recipe is so easy and you explain it well. So easy to follow. Thank you!!!

  • @nerdyme69

    Hi nerdyme69,

I am glad you found my channel too.

I hope you enjoy the recipe and I really appreciate your comments.

Good luck with the meal :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • tnx for the tip yoh!!!

  • @buldugur

    Your welcome :)

  • what no water??

  • @buldugur

You can add water if you want a slightly runnier sauce.

    The choice is yours.

If you do add water and put too much in, just cook until you get the consistency you want.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • i'm sorry i come from a full blooded italian family and my mom is from italy shes a pure breed cooking expert thats what shes been doing her whole life and A, your cooking the sauce terribly wrong youve added on water sugar nor parmesan and the meatballs are supposed to be cooking with the sauce every a light browning in the frying pan and you actually were blending the sauce loll please people dont make it this way youll regret it and if you dont you know shit about food!!!

  • Im getting hungry right now!! Gonna try this tomorrow. Thank you!

  • @pepeblau1

Hopefully it all worked out for you.

    Thanks for the comms :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • What gas mark do i cook the meatballs at?

  • @MegaElasticMan

    Sorry for slow reply.

    200c / 400f or gas mark 6 (pre-heated oven)

  • Im going to make this for my school practical ! A few questions: What gas mark did you cook the meetballs at? Do you have to put them in the fridge? Could i cook the sauce for just half and hour and the taste would be the same?

  • @MegaElasticMan

    Gas mark 6

It's better to put in fridge as they are less likely to break up when cooking.

You could cook the sauce for less time maybe 30 mins and it will tatse good. However, you will often find that the longer you cook a sauce the better the overall flavour. You may need to add some water if you were cooking for longer or wanted a thinner sauce.

    Hope it helps.

  • REALLY NICE!

  • @TheBankai901

Thanks for the comm and appreciated!

    OriginalNakedChef :)

  • Hi - I drooled on my shirt watching this and didn't realize it until looking down. I noticed you didn't put any herb spices into the sauce. Does the chorizo make that unnecessary?

  • @cupwithhandles

Love the comment sorry about the mess :)

You can add herbs into the sauce if you want, your choice!. The cherizo does give it a distinct and delicious flavour and worth adding if you can get hold of it :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • I really have to commend you on your ingredient choice. So many new cooks get turned off the idea by the sheer number of ingredients some recipes require, and are often daunted by the idea of getting access to certain things. The pork sausage thing in particular is fantastic. Old fashioned meatballs taste fantastic with pork in but people assume you need pork mince. This isn't sold in most shops (even my butcher only does it on order), but sausage meat (aka skinless sausages) works just as well.

  • @Burguois

    Hi Burguois,

Nice to hear from you again. You are quite right that pork mince is not always so easy to get. The sausages are a good alternative and add a great flavour. Thank you for your kind words and dropping in.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • it is a bit dry...the sauce not watery enough

  • @hotuckfai

I wanted to make the sauce nice and thick. If you prefer you can add alittle water to the sauce.

  • @OriginalNakedChef thanks for the tip :)

  • @hotuckfai

    Your welcome.

Also if you put too much water and it became too runny, you just carry on cooking for a short while longer until you get the consistency you want.

  • I really like your recipes. But I have 2 suggestions.

1: if you add the tomato purée first en bake it for a while your sauce will get less bitter so maybe you don't have to add sugar ( at least in my case it wasn't necessary but of course its your personal taste

2: When I made this dish a add some fresh basil and that was really nice!

I love the meatballs with the parmesan!

    Greetings from Luc (Holland)

  • @Luc20062006

That sounds like a great tip. I think I also have al slight sweet tooth and like the sauce very slihtly sweet. Also I think the cans of tomatoes I use are not the sweetest tomatoes, The basils a nice touch too.

    Thanks for your comms

    OriginalNakedChef

  • fantastic as usual!!

  • @DavinDaGeek

    Hi DavinDaGeek,

Thanks for the nice comms. Maybe you could make them for your mom, Suprize her.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Is it just me, or does the sauce look extremely orange, rather than a red-ish color?

  • @minDLessGFX

It could be the camera/lighting or maybe it could be the cherizo.

As long as it taste good :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • meat bools are my favorite, nice job :)))

I does sound like we have a similar taste. It's nice to have a little sweetness.

Thank you for dropping in and why do you watch the vids when you are hungry?

    OriginalNakedChef

  • I think this way is slightly wrong, don't like the idea of Puree for the sauce. But nevertheless thanks for another video.

  • @snaggypaggy

You don't have to puree the sauce, its just a different way of having it.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • wow

looks yummy and the smell mmmmmmmmm i can smell it from my place :)

  • @sweetkittensarah21
