I give the Chines credit for the fact they put on a damn good parade! Other than that there equipment stands no chance against the USA's hardware. Plus we do fight for our freedom not because we have to, but because we want to. Anyone who say's Americans are not free needs to go live in one of those countries for a few months (not as a tourist) but as a citizen and get back with us on how nice it is.
Don't be fooled by this propaganda, Chinese military is about 20 years behind the West, with no real ability to innovate, they copy or get help from Russia most of the time. The one thing that the West will always have in a battle against the hordes of Chinese Conscripts, is better trained soldiers determined to defend the freedom they know they have, unlike the Chinese soldiers who would be fighting because their Dictators in Beijing have told them to fight or get sent to prison or be executed.

I believe hand to hand or infantry combat is a thing of the past. The US military is moving towards mechanized warfare, predator drones, exoskeletons, and autonomous systems that improve safety by providing user awareness. Machines are cheaper and more efficient... more productive you could say. This is also why America, a country of 300 million has the largest economy in the world that still grows. Not b/c we are better or more efficient, but b/c we know how to use machines to our advantage...

People always complain about China stealing or copying technologies, including military technologies. But I tend to disagree that it is a bad thing. Innovation always is good; and if China's second-generation technologies are better than first- (say, US), then China has done well. The problem is that China-made technologies are seldom better than US technologies, even if they, China-made technologies, are second-generation.
A second generation iPhone ought to be better than the first, right? but with China second generation technologies are never better 80% of the time. In terms of userability perhaps; but overall, in terms things like accuracy, power, durability, etc., no... Those drones will probably fall out of the sky like kamikaze Zero fighters. In fact, I suspect that that's their main function!

China still fears america but is seeing how far they can go. if the US invade ran hen china would do shit. looked what happened in pakistan, US special forces invaded pakistan airspace and performed a military operation next to a army base. China is pakistan's friend but didnt say a word.

@BMTHmosher China has nowhere near the military strenght the USA has, China will avoid military conflict as long as their army is inferior to USA's army.. the chinese army is still fighting with sticks and stones compared to the USA military.. BUT China is rapidly modernizing it's military, and in a few years they'll be able to match and then surpass USA's army.. when that happens we'll see the chinese army playing alot bigger role in the world. let's just hope they don't go to war.

If USA and China would go to war today, China would get trashed.. in a few years however tables will be turned.

I believe hand to hand or infantry combat is a thing of the past. The US military is moving towards mechanized warfare, predator drones, exoskeletons, and autonomous systems that improve safety by providing user awareness. Machines are cheaper and more efficient... more productive you could say. This is also why America, a country of 300 million has the largest economy in the world that still grows. Not b/c we are better or more efficient, but b/c we know how to use machines to our advantage...

Innovation always is good; and if China's second-generation technologies are better than first- (say, US), then China has done well. The problem is that China-made technologies are seldom better than US technologies, even if they, China-made technologies, are second-generation.
