Can you imagine being a kid during the 90's playing this level? You would be sitting in your living room, at ten or so in the evening, staring at your tellevision with the volume very low (you don't want your parents to wake up). Once you reach this stage, you adjust the volume because it does not sound right, and turn it up. BOOM! You just wet your pants, woke up your angry parents, and have no idea what just struck you. It was, how they say, INEXPLICABLE!

I re-played this part again recently in EB. Going too long without playing or at least watching the end makes one forget just how spine-chilling and intense this final area and its corresponding boss really is... I love it.

I feel like there's some kind of immensely disturbing and creepy beast waiting somewhere in that cave. As if the air you're breathing tells you that something is unimaginably wrong, sending chills all down your spine. Those sudden echoed notes, blasting bass and "laughing" high-pitched notes seem to perfectly recreate such a creepy, lonesome wandering in that place. Even if I think that only a very light howling breeze and total silence, make the perfect "bad omen" atmosphere. Just awesome,
