If I'm not mistaken, this comes from a DVD they made when they played 3 shows at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. He probably told a kick ass story about the Valley on day 1, but played a better version of the song on day 2. So the editors got to work and voila. The change comes right after the story and just before he starts singing.
