  • @xxPwnedProductionsxx It depends on what you seek, for me, the University was good only for the foundations, mathematical theory and physics; everything else was disapointing, nobody knows c++ (teachers), it was all about theory.. for example, networking class, nobody knows how to open a socket and listen at some port for packets, all they know is how to launch an apache server on linux, that's all, and pretty much all the courses are similar here..

  • @np96vh It is all matter of texture. I had same thing with blender. I textured my object with texture and normal map. And it had that effect. But if you add spec map it will go away.

  • I'm working on my own MD5 loader right now. I have animations running, but I'm stuck on the actual animation blending. I'm not sure how to play the reload animation with a walk animation. Did you just play one animation for the top half of the model, and another animation for the bottom half?

    I just started to do programming a year ago... How many years have you been programming?

  • @Jackpotur I've been programming C/C++ for close to 2 years now (maybe a bit more!) But I've been programming in other languages since 2004 it takes a long time to get the knack of it even for people who are naturals. Don't be disheartened =)

  • @Jackpotur Hi, well in graphics about 2 years with C++. You can see my first videos, that's where i started, they have no lighting at all, poor architecture etc.

    The first step is read tutorials, the second stop reading and start coding, read books instead, tutorials are bad, not good to learn.

  • Are the models suppose to look shiny or not? I've never played any of the Doom games.

  • Hi, i don't think so, pretty buggy, i'm working on better stuff, so, is just a matter of time :)

  • There is a problem with your shader, the mirrored UV's on the models are having tangent space issues, notice on the left hand that the fingers shade invertedly? but on the right they are fine, this is a problem i've ran into before, and even now on my new shader i've got to add a fix.
