Canadians telling Americans that they know nothing about hockey simply because they are American is equally as retarded as chanting "U.S.A.!" for a team whose players are mostly Canadian, so if you Canadians are gonna complain about that, then stop trying to end your arguments with me by saying things like "Hey, maybe Fox can bring back the hilited puck so you and your yankee buddies can follow the puck.". This makes you seem unintelligent.
@arheedee did you get to see Laraque on the Canadian version of dancing with the stars yet........very, very impressive. I think, after reading BoBosnation1972's description of your "suck-cessfull business, you could indeed do some "business" on that show yourself. Good luck, keep those smiley stickers coming!
The only point is: In your mind, Lucic is not a top fighter. There is the only point of everything you wrote. I watched a ton of hockey last year and saw very little in the way of a "top fighter." If you are calling Laroque a "top fighter", then I am quessing you do little more than watch your favorite team play. I hope you continue to succeed with your incredible work at Wal-Mart!
@shmoogleflopper1 Hey douchebag #1, i run a successful business. Yes, lucic ran away from laracque. He's fought 3 tough guy heavyweights. He hot his ass kicked by Orr, he got KO'd by Erskine, and the Ivanas fight was a draw. Ivanans isn't exactly one of the top heavyweights either. Now i will respond to your boyfriend douche bag #2
@arheedee If you consider sucking dick for beer money a "successful business" then you are certainly the Bill Gates of the dicklickers! Julien ordered Lucic not to fight Laraque, and Boston went on to win 11 straight against the Habs. Strategy worked. Lucic was beating Orr, and got nailed with a bomb that broke his nose. No shame in losing to a top 5 fighter when you're 21. When Tocchet was 21, he had lost to Beck, McPhee, Ruskowski Peplinski & others. Hell, Larry Playfair dribbled Tocchet!
@BoSoxnation1972 Hey douche bag, obviously you're a pimple faced 17 year old, at least you sound like it. I guess you were on the bench and heard julien order lucic not to fight? i have a feeling that's what julien told reporters, so everyone doesn't realize that lucic is a pussy. lucic was crying for the refs with orr, as he was getting his ass kicked from the start. Larry Playfair, douche bag, was one of the toughest fighters. Erskine isn't, and he flattened lucic.
@arheedee Erskine beat Laraque and had a draw with Wade Belak, and while he lost his share his first few years, he's one of the toughest guys in the league. Secondly, Lucic had Orr practicallysweatered 5 seconds into the fight and was hitting him with bombs that sent Orr's helmet flying. Not sure how he was losing at that point! LMAO
And while you say Playfair was one of the toughest, so is Orr! So Lucic's loss means fuckall! Just like Tocchet's loss to Playfair! Can you follow now Corky? LMFAO
@BoSoxnation1972 Hey Faggot, you know absolutely nothing about hockey fights. Erskine in one of the toughest? You are mentally retarded.
All of lucic's losses have come to "fighters", and the majority of his wins have come when he takes on "non-fighters". I'm done with you retard. Good luck with those dishes douche bag.
@arheedee non fighters? LMAO Everyone Lucic fought is a fighter! They're just not all heavyweights. Brookbank, Boll, Clarkson, Tarnasky, Jackman, Neil, Boulton, Crombeen, Wallace, Oreskovich-they're all fighters. And toughest doesn't mean the best fighter! Erskine IS one of the toughest players. He skates a regular shift and every once in a while, drops the gloves with a 4th line goon. Now go get your lipstick and wig on Booster! The sun will be down soon and you gotta earn that rent money! LMAO
@BoSoxnation1972 i guess i'll get a repsonse tomorrow, as you're probably working late tonight at the restaurant. Lots of dishes to wash on a friday night huh faggot?
Not to mention... Lucic is a power forward by definition and not a "tough guy".... There is a distinct difference between the two... And whats with all this Yankee shit? In reference to Americans I take it? Well buddy, we know our hockey down here well enough to compete at an elite level (refer back to the 2010 World Juniors if you need a good example... Or even the olympics)
@Bruinology the "yankee" shit was in response to some other guy who was trash talking. Lucic is definitely not a "tough guy", and i guess he is a power forward. Definitely not a Cam Neely or a Wendel Clark or a Rick Tocchet, or a Gary Roberts. Lucic has had one average season so far (and 2 not so good seasons) points wise.
@beetincheaks I agree with you on Laracque. He's usually much bigger and stronger than his opponents, and he uses his strength to swing guys around and punches them while they're tring to get their balance. Brashear is another guy who made a career out of bear hugging guys with his long arms, then he would shake them, and after they lost their balance he would start punching them.
way to go lucic. Keep fighting guys 50lbs lighter, and 6 inches shorter. Last year you took on someone your own size and remember what happened? Mr Colton Orr? Remember?
@arheedee Grant is 6'2 & 212lbs. Thats only 2 inches shorter and 8lbs lighter than Lucic so maybe you should do a little research first? Just a thought.
@Rjdck well 90% of the guys he fights are usually a couple weight classes down so I just checked the Panterhs official website and Grant is 6'1 211. Perhaps Andrew Peters would have been more suitable?
@arheedee you sound like an idiot. The guy was slashing Horton, one of our star players, and so Lucic took care of him. If you're gonna act tough then you better be ready to handle guys like Luc. How was this not something that a good teammate would do to a pest? And you sound like Grant's mother--the guy isn't exactly little.
@j12cote Hey cockhead cote, you little faggot. Lucic is a pussy, and has only once dropped the gloves with a "true" heavyweight, and that was Orr, and he was crying for the refs to come in and save him. My favourite was watching him skating away from Laraque like a little pussy. I bet if that was any other Montreal Canadien he would have fought him. But he was chicken shit against Montreal's tough guy.
@arheedee LMAO cockhead? faggot? you sound like a little boy hehehe it's adorable! Laraque is 25 pounds heavier than Lucic wahhhhhh! :'( So according to your completely rational canadian logic, Laraque is a little pussy bitch right? And as far as Colton Orr goes, Lucic has over five times as many points than Orr in half as many games as him. Orr has a total of 17 points in his career....... I mean, I know he plays for Toronto but still...Lucic has more hockey talent in his damn elbow. Pitiful
@j12cote A heavyweight is a heavyweight. If Lucic wants to be a toughguy, he should fight the other teams tough guys, not the little finesse players who never frop their gloves. Wendell Clark did it, Cam Neely did it, Lucic isn't doing it. Being a yankee i wouldn't expect you to understand any of that, or how hockey should be played. Hey, maybe Fox can bring back the hilited puck so you and your yankee buddies can follow the puck.
I feel like i'm talking to a little girl....a little retarded girl at that. Listen here sweetheart, Grant was trying to be a tough guy that night and was picking on Horton. So if he's gonna try and act like a tough guy, then it only serves him right to have to actually face one after being a prick. You act like Lucic just went after him for no reason... There's zero common-sense in talking to you. Great American joke tho hun, it really strengthened the validity of your argument :)
@j12cote Hey douche bag, you sound like you want to suck lucic off. My point from the beginning is that lucic tends to "shy" away from true toughguys/fighters and is more than willing to take on non "toughguys". That is why i called him a pussy from the start. Just like you said, if you're a prick you deserve to face a real tough guy. But when real tough guys approach him, he runs.
@arheedee You're completely wrong man. Lucic has fought some of the toughest guys around and he has lost a few. He isn't an enforcer that's not why the Bruins have Lucic, Shawn Thornton is our enforcer. Lucic is a good solid hockey player that can also ruin people. Grant had it coming trying to go after Horton. Full credit to Looch for standing up for his teammates.
@wolfpoc316 Hey wolfpoc, i hear what you're saying. Things got out of control a bit with j12cote. I agree Grant deserved a beating and i know that Thornton is your enforcer (and/or Brian Mcgrattan). My point to him from the start was that Lucic is not a "heavyweight" in the hockey sense of the word. The Heaveweights are the Thorntons, the Mcgrattans, the Orr's, the Boogaards's etc, all of which would most likely cream Lucic in a fight.
@arheedee You make some good points. I agree that Lucic isn't a heavyweight in the hockey sense at least not in the NHL, yet. I will say this though, while the real enforcers might beat him I don't see Looch backing down and I feel strongly that he will give a good showing.
@arheedee Lucic is far younger than anyone you named. When all of those players were Milan's age, they were not even in the NHL yet. I agree that Thornton, Orr, McGrattan and a dozen others are better fighters than Lucic, but Milan is a kid compared to them. Dont try and compare a 28 year old man like Orr, whose only job is to fight, with a 19-21 year old (which is what Milan has been) who plays on the top line. It's like comparing Kevin Durant to Kobe in the NBA!
@BoSoxnation1972 I'm not comparing hockey skills or goals scored. I'm talking about fighting ability. Lucic will never be an Orr, or Boogaard, or Mcgrattan, not now at 22 years old, or even when he's 32 years old. Bostonians talk about this guy like he's the greatest player of all time. He had an average at best season in 08-09, and even though he missed about 30 games last year he had a pretty poor year. In any case, my main point is that he cannot take on the true heavyweights of the league.
@arheedee Well if that's yur point, then you're an idiotYou have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Look up Kocur vs. Richter and see what happens when a young kid takes on a top 10 heavyweight in their prime. Kocur got TKO'd, but that doesn't change the fact that he got better when he got older. In 08-09, Lucic was a 20 year old kid. Then last year, his two linemates from the season prior were out all year-Kessel traded, Savard out hurt. Savard and Lucic only played 5 games together.
@arheedee Lucic was a 4th liner with Junior eligibility & was 19 years old his 1st year. Do you know where Tocchet was when he was 19? Still in the minors! Lucic was taking on Raitis Ivanans, the 263lb steroid monster that went 2 and a half years without losing a fight, & it was a draw. You want to see Lucic's improvement? Watch his 1st fight with Chris Neil, then his 2nd! Lucic made Chris Neil his bitch-and Neil has beaten guys like Wade Belak. If Lucic stays healthy, he'll pop in 25 goals.
@BoSoxnation1972 douchebag#2, Tochhet was drafted in 83, played one more year of junior hockey then played with the flyers in 84, helping them go to the finals. I don't care if ivanas is 325 lbs, he can't fight. Watch his fights with Erskine and Orr and tell me what happens. Probably the only 2 heavyweights he's fought (as well as ivanans). Look up Wendell Clark in his rookie year taking on Behn Wilson, he was an 18 or 19 yr old kid taking on one of the top fighters of all time,
@arheedee and he did pretty good, and continued fighting top heavyweights throughout his career, unlike lucic. He'll pop in 25 goals? not playing on 4th again he won't.
@arheedee And Lucic only played on the 4th line his rookie year. Now he bounces between first and second because Julien mixes the lines every few games. He's currently playing with Horton and Krecji on the 2nd line, and playing with those two, 25 goals and 60 points will be within reach if he stays healthy. Now run on back to the kiddie table and jerk off to your Wendel Clark poster! LMFAO
@BoSoxnation1972 he was 3rd and 4th line last year as well. Seriously, don't try to be funny, you're a real moron. Boston is trying to make lucic out to be the next Clark or Neely, good luck to them.
@arheedee He never played on the 4th line last year Booster.Thornton, Begin and Paille were 4th liners. Lucic bounced around a lot on the top 3 because of all the injuries at center. He and Savard only played 5 games together. Lucic had the broken finger and the high ankle sprain missing over 2 months, then Savard got the concussion. Lucic also scored 5 goals & 4 assists in only 13 playoff games when he started to get healthy.
Lucic is more often compared to Tocchet and O'Reilly more than Cam.
@arheedee Lucic is on pace for 333 goals this season. The kid is 22 years old. Give him a year or two and I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a 40 goal year.
@arheedee Secondly, if Ivanans can't fight, how'd he beat George Parros & Jody Shelly multiple times? He also beat Thornton, Koci, Stortini, and had some great even fights with Derek Boogaard and Brian McGrattan. That's ok though. You've already proven you have no fucking clue what you're talking about! LMAO
And Wendel Clark LOST to Terry Johnson, Harold Snepsts, and Bob Rouse after he earned a draw with Behn-but his fight with Wilson was impressive.
@BoSoxnation1972 Parros, Shelley, Koci, Thornton and especially Stortini, all bums. Even a little faggot like you could have even fights with boogaard and mcgrattan is you held on for dear life like ivanas. Did you see what happened to ivanans last night.
@arheedee Yes, he got KO'd by MacIntyre. However, Ivanans is a completely different player now since he stopped using steroids last year and dropped 25 pounds of muscle. He'll probably either go back to juicing or he will be out of the league soon.
And Thornton fought Orr to a draw in one of the better fights of the year last year, so if he's a bum, then Orr what does that make Orr? LMAO
And Ivanans didn't hold on in either fight! They're on youtube dipshit. See for yourself.
@arheedee When tough guys approach Lucic, he runs? Care to give any example of a game where this has ever happened? I hate to inform you, but watched nearly all of the Bruins games the last three or four seasons (with the exception of a few games because of work) and I never have seen him "run" from any of the legitimate fighters. Has Looch always dropped the gloves when challenged? No... However, there is a time and place that is appropriate to fight in order to help ones team and not hurt it.
@Bruinology Actually Laracque chased him around the rink basically a couple years ago and he wouldn't fight. Look, i don't have a problem with Lucic. This debate started a couple weeks ago with someone on here on youtube, and the bottom line is/was that Lucic was not a top fighter. That's it. Yes he's a good fighter, and a tough guy, a good hitter etc, but he can't take on the top heavyweights of the league.
@arheedee congrats on mentioning the only thing Toronto had to cheer for last year. What a joke of a team eh? I think Orr had as many points as the Leafs did in the standings
