@bpark79 I disagree in that "dying for Him" can be a single act where "living for Him" is daily, acted out again and again. It's possible but I certainly like the sound of the idea of a continuous effort rather than "only" dying for Him. Either way, we need to show Him acting through us...especially when it is just who we are and not some sort of act.

Although Peter disowned Christ 3 times, in the end as he followed God in the rest of his life, he grew, and he ended up being crucified on the cross UPSIDE DOWN. THAT was the lengths he was willing to go for God. That was how much he loved Him. His life serves to show us how we should be - even though we may fail and cower at times, if we stick with God, He will transform us to be the ppl we were created to be. To live for Him. :)

The same thing happened 2 me. I thought of commiting suicide 2 end all the pain I went through. Then 1 day at a youth convention with my group, Jesus called 2 me and told me 2 stand up and pray. There was a suicide in my family about a month ago. You choosing life and Jesus is an answer to my prayers. He knows all we are going through and is commited to helping us through it. These addictions can seem to become part of who we are. This means that while being a homosexual may seem like something one can be born with, it is actually a choice that becomes an addiction. You chose to be gay and you can chose not to be gay.
Some may have a predisposition to be gay, but that doesn't stop it from being sin in God's eyes.

And also on your previous comments such as eating pork and women speaking in church, those were part of the "Mosaic Laws" which Jesus had overturned. If you follow a culture that only believes in the old testament and doesn't believe that Jesus was our coming savior, such as Judaism, they don't eat pork, and women don't teach men. I don't doubt for one minute that God loves me. But apriori He knew what I was, even before I was born. Though I do not want to be sinful yet it is my state. Only in Christ am I complete. But here in is the idea, if to love a man without the body is ideal, but to love him within the body is sinful, I wonder why love at all? Maybe the pure vessel is pure because of what is within and not without. And if my love is pure, then I and my beloved are sanctified. As His love sanctifies me.

Homophobia is wrong, Jesus came to die for everyone and Christians hate the sin, not the sinner, but the Bible condemns homosexuality outright. So you are wrong. 1st Corinthians 6:9 attests to that. There are different translations because the language used in some translations is aimed at different groups. For example a lot of older people like the King James version however the language it uses is now fairly outdated (thees and thous etc.) and difficult for some young people who may prefer to use a translation like the New International Version or New Living Translation as they use more contemporary language. Slightly different manuscripts of the original greek and hebrew are used for
different translations but all translations are very similar. I struggled to understand why God says homosexuality is sin and the answer I got from him is God designed man and woman to be together, homosexuality is rebellion against this. Any time we say we know better than God, that's sin. However I feel my Christian responsibility is to promote gay rights because God is a God of justice who loves everyone equally.

@bpark79 I disagree in that "dying for Him" can be a single act where "living for Him" is daily, acted out again and again. It's possible but I certainly like the sound of the idea of a continuous effort rather than "only" dying for Him. Either way, we need to show Him acting through us...especially when it is just who we are and not some sort of act.

Although Peter disowned Christ 3 times, in the end as he followed God in the rest of his life, he grew, and he ended up being crucified on the cross UPSIDE DOWN. THAT was the lengths he was willing to go for God. That was how much he loved Him. His life serves to show us how we should be - even though we may fail and cower at times, if we stick with God, He will transform us to be the ppl we were created to be. To live for Him. :)

The same thing happened 2 me. I thought of commiting suicide 2 end all the pain I went through. Then 1 day at a youth convention with my group, Jesus called 2 me and told me 2 stand up and pray. He helps every1 with their problems. I am proud 2 live my life as a Christian. I am proud 2 be here 4 my Savior. Hopfully 1 day I will go 2 Heaven and meet Him in person. Thank You JESUS!!!!!!!!!

There was a suicide in my family about a month ago. You choosing life and Jesus is an answer to my prayers. He knows all we are going through and is commited to helping us through it. Well ajinla the Old Testament was meant to be a gude for the Israeiltes to help them guide them and set them apart form all the other races that inhabitatied the land.But Jesus said that they didnt need to follow them rules any more that his blood had washed away their sins and they didnt need to DO anything to gain eternal Salvation he had doe it all.I will pray for you and hope that you realise this.

Yes, God made us. But we, in the garden, chose to sin against Him. We chose to sin every day, in many ways. Sometimes these sins become addictions. These addictions can seem to become part of who we are. This means that while being a homosexual may seem like something one can be born with, it is actually a choice that becomes an addiction. You chose to be gay and you can chose not to be gay.
Some may have a predisposition to be gay, but that doesn't stop it from being sin in God's eyes.

And, if you r truly a believer than you would read scripture, and than would agree that homosexuality is a sin. As are several things that I do on a daily basis. And also on your previous comments such as eating pork and women speaking in church, those were part of the "Mosaic Laws" which Jesus had overturned. If you follow a culture that only believes in the old testament and doesn't believe that Jesus was our coming savior, such as Judaism, they don't eat pork, and women don't teach men. So it does help if you conduct research on your arguments before you make the argument. God bless

Considering the relatively small amount of attention the Bible gives to the subject, we must ask ourselves why this is such a volatile issue while other subjects (e.g. judgment, pride, hypocrisy) about which the scriptures say a great deal, receive much less passionate attention.

She spent much time quoting impressively from Leviticus. the listener accepted much of what the speaker had said until realizing that by Levitical standards, the crusader had herself broken many biblical laws; women speaking in church, women teaching men, wearing a dress made of cotton and polyester, and probably others of which he was unaware. Hey peoples, I used think I was a gay person because I did unatural stuff, but that was a lie and I believed it for a long time. When I fully surrendered to God, I accepted Jesus Christ and I was "born again" I mean literally "born" on the inside. Once I was born, I had the natural urge for women, FULLY. You cannot have that natural urge for women unless you have decided to follow Jesus Christ.

You may call yourself a Christian, but how can you be a Christian if you are homosexual? Yes, God is a God of Justice, but, in Genesis, it clearly states that God made a woman for Adam's partner. He did not created a man as a partner for Adam. Also, God's first two commandments to Adam and Eve was to multipy in numbers and take care of the Earth. In order to multiply, you must have a man and a woman to multiply. A man can't multiply with another man.

I don't doubt for one minute that God loves me. But apriori He knew what I was, even before I was born. Though I do not want to be sinful yet it is my state. Only in Christ am I complete. But here in is the idea, if to love a man without the body is ideal, but to love him within the body is sinful, I wonder why love at all? Maybe the pure vessel is pure because of what is within and not without. And if my love is pure, then I and my beloved are sanctified. As His love sanctifies me.

What you feel is neither pure nor love. It is unholy because homosexuality and any other sexual deviation all fall under the blanket of sexual immorality. God does not want to see this at all in His church. Your feeling is as justifiable as a 40yr old man justifying his 'love' for a 10 yr old and thus his sexual actions with her, or an unmarried person justifying his love for his girlfriend and having sex with her. This does not make any of these ok with God. Ask God to reveal holiness to you.

Homophobia is wrong, Jesus came to die for everyone and Christians hate the sin, not the sinner, but the Bible condemns homosexuality outright. So you are wrong. 1st Corinthians 6:9 attests to that. I'm sorry that you seem so bitter, somebody must not have shown you what true Christianity is like. The real love that drives true Christians to serve mankind is from God.

Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality. 13 verses explicitly state why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorra, not a single one mention homosexuality at all whatsoever. All explicitly state that you did not take care of the poor and the needy. That is America today. Moreover, the few abused verses used to condemn homosexuality don't condemn homosexuality all across all translations of the Bible. That is because liars don't lie consistently. The words homosexuality was added by crooks, liars, n scholars.

Explain to me why there are different translations of the Bible, because you just made it sound like they are there because people lie, and that is an affront to linguistic studies the world over. Read Leviticus 20:13 In Hebrew: 'Iysh shakab zakar mishkab 'ishshah shanayim 'asah tow ' ebah muwth muwth dam Or in Common English "If a man lieth with mankind as he lieth with a woman both of them have committed an abomination. There are different translations because the language used in some translations is aimed at different groups. For example a lot of older people like the King James version however the language it uses is now fairly outdated (thees and thous etc.) and difficult for some young people who may prefer to use a translation like the New International Version or New Living Translation as they use more contemporary language. different translations but all translations are very similar. I struggled to understand why God says homosexuality is sin and the answer I got from him is God designed man and woman to be together, homosexuality is rebellion against this. Any time we say we know better than God, that's sin. However I feel my Christian responsibility is to promote gay rights because God is a God of justice who loves everyone equally.

can a man really lie with another man like he was a woman? I disagree. The anatomy is just not the same. And it begs the question, a woman has those two orifices, does that mean its ok to use both of them down there?
