    Piotr

  • @piotrsmetek Thanks so much!

  • @PF1964 The lick is mostly in A minor pentatonic, with a little blurring into major.

  • Great thanks!I

    s it in Am?

  • To the people asking about the slide, I think in this case it's easier because the lick moves up to higher notes so reaching them from the 5th fret in E would be a little of a jump. Also, I know this kind of slide is used a lot in open position with E blues, where there is no other way to do it.

  • nice lick Robert!

  • I'd like your opinion, Robert, on why the lick is better sliding up to 8th position, than playing it all in 5th (adding a little slide there, too). I think your way is a bit smoother, with more variety of tone, and better tone on the G and B strings toward the end. Thanks!

  • @aft41 The slide creates a cool sound. It's a useful trick/technique to use sometimes. Variety is good!

  • Excellent

  • Your tone is always fantastic!

  • Great lick - thanks for posting

  • Thanks, Robert! LASIK or contacts?

  • @tintinet Neither. :)

  • great lick man, thanks a lot for another great lesson

  • Thanks!

  • Nice lick, I like the blurring between minor and major. Pinch harmonics at the end are pure Billy, haha. Thanks for reviewing rhythm and timing, Robert!

  • @jammers5 I believe BB borrowed that one from me after a jam one night way back. But seriously, though everything has influences and roots etc. BB was one of the great innovators in electric blues guitar. Chances are the guy he learned licks from is far less well-known.

  • That's a cool lick, but I believe Billy Gibbons borrowed that from BB King.

  • @JeffryArntzen and BB King borrowed it from.....

  • Hey ! Great Lick... Sweet & Simple!

I always enjoy your quick 'How To's' ...

  • You are amazing! though you looked pale today.

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • @jlynchtx it is an electric guitar why?
