I so loved this movie when it came out. Christopher Walken looked so freaked out all the time and played this part so well. This was so early in his career but yet a master piece. Can't believe it is the same guy in Click with Adam Sandler.

No, they only showed this one part in the movie. It is an adaptation of the book where, if I remember right, Johnny Smith said it was the destruction of everything and there were survivors whose surprised/dazed look reminded him of the 00 on the wheel of fortune.
