every time i try to bring up the cheat box, all that happens is either nothing, i take a screenshot, or my character tries to take a photo with his cell phone ...

Ok you guys I went to the park, and there was this statue with a simoleons sign..so I clicked on it...and..it said put these many simoleons on it..so i did it over and over and over again....and i got 999,999 simoleons! I was REALLY lucky

you can also move sims in then move them out and it will give you like 17,000 but this is way faster!

Yes! Press "Ctrl-Shift-C" then type in "testingcheatsenabled true" Shift-click the mailbox and select Make All Happy and then shift-click again to press Make Motives Static. I use this to never have to worry about needs ever again!

welll if you wanna get the cheat box up hold control + shift + c and when youre presiing shift or c dont let go of any of them then it'll apppear and then write Motherlode and you'll get 50,000 simole..... i dont know how to say it but ya!! thats how !!1 hope i helped allloooottttt!!!!!! my hands hurt know from typing so much!!!!!!

yeah u just click the fast forward button in the lower left hand corner, u can choose 2 times faster 3 times etc, and u can change back any time if u want.

Uhhhh It SHOULD be at the top. It's like a bar. Half transparent. And blue.

You can't really see it until you actually look at it, y'know? If you still dont see it, and you have Vista, use CTRL-Windows-SHIFT-C

At the top, there should be a blue bar, it's half transparent. I didn't see it at first. XD

Anyway, that's if it's Vista. If it's just XP then it's CTRL-SHIFT-C, and there should be blue bar at top. ^^

these are cheats from sims 2 not sims 3 and i know because sims 1 and 2 had different cheats. a different team designed the sims 3 thats why cheats are not really "cheats" on the sims they are mods to see if everything works properly and they leave them on there to let people find them and use them if the game gets errors and some people can see why and maybe fix it and tell the website about it called "feedback"

Fuck cheats, they make the whole game pointless even if you don't use them, since you are always going to be able to say "why take the time to figure out and accomplish something according to the rules when I can just cheat." It would be one thing if the game at least put a marker on when you use the cheats, so that not using cheats means your game record will acknowledge that you used no cheats--but as far as I know this doesn't happen, so it makes me not wanting to bother to even get the game.
