News about the Hess Challenge:

Unfortunately, I have to cancel the race after my camera broke last night while reshooting part of the race. I don't have the $ to fix it/buy a new one.

I know that there were many eager to watch it, and I'm disappointed that you won't be able to watch it, and for that I'm sorry.

However, I am willing to help anyone on video editing, supplying logos for walls/grass, supplying pre-made track layouts, and a video from last month I made on how I made the track.

how did you make the track?(walls)

The walls are posterboard and are being held up by tape. The track is 3 pieces of white posterboard, then rubber cemented on top is black and green posterboard. Just draw out the track on white posterboard, then get some tracing paper and trace over the track. Put the tracing paper on the black posterboard, cut it out, and rubbercement it on to the white posterboard.

This Friday 10/31. I just have to do some editing and other stuff related to the video and it's done.

In the meantime, the track is getting a makeover (new logos on walls mostly with the occasional fixing bumps on the track that have bubbled up a little).

After the season ends at Homestead, that's when I'll be doing the next race.

If you watch part 1, Johnson gets wrecked and the radiator busts, so they had to fix it, thus he's many laps down so he's going to finish about 15th.

Same track, the race will be an elimination format with race winners from this year. I'm hoping to have that done by the end of November.

The 3rd race will be a race (as far as I know) that hasn't been attempted before for a NASCAR Stop Motion.

I just play the file when I do the voice record and say what I see. It's like when you watch a sporting event on tv and you do play by play with the mute button on.

The best way to go about it is to just use white posterboard, and then to get the people use google images or webshots and type nascar grandstands. Find a close-up image of a grandstand with people, save the file and walla.

It's called having a lot of tolerance towards working on it. For me to do 1 lap worth of pictures with 1 car (which can range from 130-140 pics) it takes 1 hour minimum.

If you want me to, what I can do is make a short "how to" videos on how I did certain things. I think seeing it done can be more beneficial vs. typing what I did.
