If a time machine exist in the future, It exist now because the past,present,and future all happen at the same time just stretched forward or backwards.
Theoretically, according to Einstein you can still travel back to the past using worm holes if they exist in space. The major problems with wormholes is that there is no guarantee you will make it out to the other side of the wormhole and you don't know whether you will end up in the past or in the future.

Not sure I agree with this. Using the coffee cup for example if the coffee represents shifting or moving space which "accelerates" a ship faster than the speed of light, well that doesn't make sense. Because velocity is the measurement of an object's motion THROUGH space so if space itself is moving you might as well be standing still with reference to relativity. If he were to take any of the technology that was invented in the future and publish it as his own, then the person who sent it back to him will never have had the chance to invent it. Time doesn't pass at the same rate. So one persons perception of time seems slower or faster depending on how fast they are travelling at.
If one person went fast enough that time would "speed up" for that individual, it would not effect people who are not travelling at that same persons velocity.

i think there would have to be an infinite amount of parralel universes exactly the same to ours and when we time travel we would only go to one of those universes then if time traveler the grandfather paradox that parralel universe would then change and no longer be parralel but the time travelers universe still is un changed meaning his grandfather still lived to create him and allow him to time travel but the changed universe would have different eventsbutthenITwoul haveinfiniteparalelunivrse

We cannot an engine to travel faster than speed of light, but If we could use the magnetic fields of the Planets, and use solar waves or lasers to be boosted against the magnetic field and gain a higher speed than the speed of light, and travel back to past to your past or any other past.

Once we Get to the Black Hole we could travel the same way to go into the future, and then there's gonna be a bit of a problem travelling back to earth, because you have to travel against it to stop the time, but the Black hole will drag you back....But Imagine, If we Could Travel just under the speed of light to stop the time, we could stay young while life on earth has been the same, and go back to earth and actually could invent a time machine.

About the Black Whole, We could make a space Travel machine, that Will travel very fast in the opposite direction to our galaxy, which could slow down the time or even stop it, and travel towards the Black Hole. Once arrived at the Black Hole we could either travel against it to go back in time, but there's a problem because you cannot Travel at the speed of light against a Black hole, unless a bigger force to twist and reverse the Black hole, but we could easily travel in the future.

Let's say that the Machine Worked, but If you send a particle back in the past with 1 minute after it's been turned on, It will appear again, again and again, but in different dimensions, That means we could use it, to communicate between dimensions. Send messages from the future to the past, and means that Someone could send a message though past, and every dimension will receive it.

Theoretically, according to Einstein you can still travel back to the past using worm holes if they exist in space. The major problems with wormholes is that there is no guarantee you will make it out to the other side of the wormhole and you don't know whether you will end up in the past or in the future.

The FUTURE is what exists on parallel universes, the PAST does not.
Time travel to the past may be possible, but the traveler cannot cut his own timeline. The energy would not be there to complete any action that threatened to do that---so a paradox would be impossible. Its like a relay switch with the coil power running thrru the norm closed contact---it cant pull to the norm open contact without cutting its own power off--so it just sits there. A traveler would feel a preventing "force"

Anyway I think it is possible to travel into the past and avoid the paradox without having multiple universes. In fact I think that having multiple universes is an overcomplicated idea which seems to have just been invented to make physics work. I think that the past could have been changed millions of times already without us even knowing. Once someone has changed the past no-one, including the time traveller, would have memory of what time was like before...

If he hasn't yet, I strongly recommend Dr. Ronald Mallett contacts the people that run TED Talks. That should give him a pretty wide audience, with people who are actually interested in the subject. Possibly Coast to Coast AM as well.

Not sure I agree with this. Using the coffee cup for example if the coffee represents shifting or moving space which "accelerates" a ship faster than the speed of light, well that doesn't make sense. Because velocity is the measurement of an object's motion THROUGH space so if space itself is moving you might as well be standing still with reference to relativity. Also why would anyone have a spaceship that looked like a coffee bean? That's just messed up.

The moment he turns on the machine (assuming it works) he will be receiving an unlimited amount of data (if that doesn't destroy the machine). If he were to take any of the technology that was invented in the future and publish it as his own, then the person who sent it back to him will never have had the chance to invent it. How then, could he have sent it back?
This is why this machine cannot work. It creates a paradox.

@Paradox506 because the moment that information enters the past it creates a branching universe that goes off in its own timeline, no paradox, and free will is maintained, and it ensures that you can't alter history, rather you simply create a whole new one.

Time doesn't pass at the same rate. So one persons perception of time seems slower or faster depending on how fast they are travelling at.
If one person went fast enough that time would "speed up" for that individual, it would not effect people who are not travelling at that same persons velocity.

There is one thing that i want to add to this idea ... not sure how it will impact it... assume that Time is cyclic, i.e. say time just repeats after every x years, then what will happen.. ?? So its something like this... if i go to future by y years... then i shud end up in past.....by x-y years... as x is the time repeat interval. Any thoughts on this ?

Each of us has his own time because each of us moves at a slightly different speed, so I don't think there is such a thing as "our time," if you get what I mean.
With time travel, you'd expect to instantaneously be able to be in a different part of spacetime. I'm still not sure I think the Albert/Bertrand example is time travel. Otherwise, we're all time travelers because each moment, we travel a bit into the future--in exactly the same was as Albert or Bertrand did. I could be wrong...

Here's my question: Why is it called time travel to the future when you travel super fast for a period of time? That's not time travel. If you go into the future, you'll see your future self. There will be two of you. In the example given in this program (with Albert and Bertrand), there's still only one of each person; it's just that one person is a lot younger than the other. Bizarre, yes, but not time travel.

I think that the statement of non existing time was because someone said that time is relative (different times at different places) so people thought " what ... ?? ok, so time isnt important, because isn't constant thought space .....

So the particles that he puts into his machine can only come out of his own machine? if so, since we are eternally moving, would the particle come out where the machine is in the future, or where the machine is in the past? And if it could come out of other machines, could the particles potentially attempt to come out of a black hole?

its not appearing out of nothing, lets say u dropped a ball in ur time to go bk to the instant machine was created. now tht ball in ur time was made up certain particles now the same particles will travel thru time and appear in the past. so the particles in ur time will vanish and appear bk in the past so the ball didnt come out of no where it came out of time. so those particles didnt vanish from the universe but just tht time. this sht is crazy and possible. Light is pretty awesome.

Ok theory here.
If the future has not happaned yet because we are not there yet, "Say this is the first time around"
When his Machine is turned on he would not get a message from the future.
But in say 10 or so years from the day its turned on and he sends messages back the entire time.
Back in our now past he gets the messages
So to us back then the future sends messages this time.
Does that count as a paradox?
Because it did not and did happen.
