  • LOL! this is funnier then I thought id be, funny in the same sense as it was in Robocop when he throws the mayor through the glass, LOL! & there's 2 camera personnel standin RIGHT there & it shows them film him falling and they both kneel to the ground as the mayor lands from bein like 1 foot from where he lands! O MY GOD, I got to find that now, I remember how insanely hard I laughed 1 time watchin that, my room mate at the time Sean started laughing real hard from hearin me laugh at that scene

  • Anyone else picturing Cameron rubbing the Enterprise with a diaper?

  • Yeah, and so the future was changed DRATSICALLY!

  • @JAGTHEGEMINI

yep the crew of the Enterprise-D died and a junkie could get into the Nexus, all because Harriman insulted Jim Kirk :P

  • @henkman00

All hail Captain John Harriman, lol no ^^

  • just cos shatner was kirk dunt mean he could direct. ppl risking millions . must have considered spock to be the better choice? its not about can i have a turn , if he is having 1...

  • @sajakram1

it has nothing to do with ''can i have a turn'' you may think its all magic making a movie but in reality its these people's jobs. Shatner wanted to come back for IV if he could direct V, simple and nothing wrong with that, it happends all the time. if they didn't think he could do it they would never have let him. like Garrett Wang (Harry Kim) he wasn't allowed too, i'm not saying he can't do it. just that they didn't let him. it happends, its all business.

  • Nimoy was asked to direct Generations but didn't want too (the script sucked) these things happen as well. Shatner believed in the script of 5 (he was a co-writer) the studio didn't back the movie up, gave it way to less money and then took more away during production, it happens, and so Shatner was forced to leave out allot of what he planed, and as director he gets blamed. i agree with Nimoy, it remarkable that under these working conditions there was a finished movie at all.

  • @sajakram1

i am not saying that 5 has a brilliant story or that if the studio did back the movie up it would have been a masterpiece, who knows? but if Shatner was indeed just looking for attention, he would have WALKED OFF THE SET! but he didn't he stayed and finished the movie the best he could, i admire that.

did 5 have its issues? oh yes, but it had a director that stuck to his guns,

  • no i meant the far future. they could have allsorts of new tech. even exploring new galaxies or universes. from a fixed base abit like stargate maybe, thats diff for star trek right. or they could base it on an alien crew with only a couple of humans. but i really think going back is not a good move. see how st enterprise they went to a wole season on 1 story cos the individual stories wernt working. cos weve seen it all.

  • @sajakram1

oh FURTHER in to the future.

like i said TNG, DS9 and VOY were already set further in the future of Trek, and that in itself didn't make any of these shows more intresting.

everything you said has been done.

Enterprise didn't work because the writers had no clear plan what to do with that show, and no it didn't suck JUST because they went into the past.

so why was it okay for Nimoy and not Shatner to ask for the director seat?

  • st enterprise showed going back is not good. showing things aliens we already know about . while in the future they could go do the delta , gamma quadrants even time travel the stories could be endless. so many possibilities. remember when in enterprise they showed the romulans 1st time , we already know about them , so nothing unexpected could happen. i think future would have been better.

  • @sajakram1

going back could have worked it they at least did their research and make it a real prequel.

Star trek has enough aliens they could still explore further, i don't need to see more 'aliens' with an odd nose or weird ears, its been done to death.

here is an idea, make a show that has nothing to do with Starfleet.

it needs to be something that hasn't been done before or it to may bleed to death.

    but above all GOOD WRITING.

the future? been done by TNG, DS9 VOY already

  • why cant they make it in the future like the time of starship relativity. which youll see is the normal timeline not based on the star trek 11 timeline. it would be better since they can time travel aswell as going anywhere in the galaxy.

  • @sajakram1

because Star trek blet to death, midiocure movies and shows killed it.

going back to the most iconic age of Trek (that is the Kirk era btw) makes sense from a business point of view. what? you want more of the same? another random crew on a random ship encountering alien of the week number 342145? re-making TOS over and over again? like it not Trek 2009 was the only way to go, that or no Trek at all, ever. but the success of this movie may MAY lead to a new show as well.

  • in the normal timeline a star destroyed romulas. then vulcan was destroyed? see all them times starfleet crews worked to restore the timeline. then this happens and no1 is bothered to save a federation founding world. it doesnt make sense. as far as i know st11 is the same timeline, universe. so this new reboot is nonsense plus they ruined star trek with this new timeline or whatever its the crapest film ever i hope theres nonmore.

  • sajakram1

no it doesn't make sense from a canon point of view. that is why in my opinion its set in a hole alternate reality, Nimoy-Spock included. would also explain why he acts differently.too bad, its the most successful Star trek movie off all time, it made 386 million worldwide. does it deserve this? nope, but those are the facts, so count on at least three movies of this series. but hey there is good news!...Shatner maybe in it!

  • spock was from the normal universe . he caused the alternate timeline but still the same universe , so the time agents should have stopped this alternate timeline happening. it wasnt another universe

  • @sajakram1

wrongo, it was Nero who caused the alternate timeline.

you asked me why the time agents didn't show up, this is called a plothole. from a bunch of writers who don't believe science is important in a story, go figure.

i gave you MY answer, you asked me, if you already know the official answer why ask me if you just want to hear the official answer!? GAH!

  • remember when they said kirks dead on the defiant in the tholian web. spock took command and the crew started arguing , doctor saying spock planned it to take command. while when they thaught picard was dead in 'gambit' they workede together to investigate his death not be petty .....

  • @sajakram1

and this means what exectly? that they are two different crews? two different ships? two different shows? made in two different decades? set in two different area's of Trek?

nah Sirtis wanted her dog to appear on TNG, but wasn't allowed too! and yet Archer got his dog on the show...you know what that means right? it means Sisko could never beat the Xindi!

  • kirks crew resented the shows always being about kirk, spock, mccoy. they werent given any episodes about them. i mean why ask a doctor about combat or technological matters? picard asked data and geordi. he asked troi about the opponent. and the doctor beverly about medical matters. all making sense. they got some episodes just about them . picards crew were all involved in matters inside and outside the ship. like a real crew does.

  • @sajakram1

and yet if TOS was so bad TNG would never exist to remake it.

let alone the other shows, movies, comics, books and a shit load of other crap.

do you mean the Kirk CREW or the shows CAST? big difference.

you do realize Star trek is fiction right? not a real ship?

  • the crew were already on the enterprise under captain pike. then kirk came . but in the movie st11 they joined together. they ruined it. after years of saving the timeline, having time agents in the far future to preserve the timeline, it was still changed in star trek 11 . what was the point of picard, the enterprise c , and the original enterprise saving the timeline? why dint the future starfleet ppl like crewman daniels and starship relativity stop star trek 11 timeline happening?

  • @sajakram1

you are very hard to follow...you do see that right?

but okay I'll answer this: indeed this can can be explaned in a very simple way, Trek 2009 takes place in an alternate reality, where the future time agents don't exist. this also means that Nimoy was playing the older version of Spock of this universe and not the main plothole rich one.

  • the crew of old star trek came in a fan made film called gods and men. cos they were so desperate to get some glory back they leeched when . star trek tng , made star trek famous again. otherwise after st1 it was finished .

  • @sajakram1

and that is what you tried to say? seems like two different comments.

that fan made movie also had actors from other Trek shows. 10 years before TNG they wanted to make a new show with the TOS crew, however Nimoy didn't want to play in that, then STARWARS was popular and the studio wanted too make Trek movies instead, thanks to these TNG was possible in 1987.

after st1 the cast thought that was it, but they were asked to come back for 5 more movies.

  • @sajakram1

oh and 'old star trek'? TNG has been off the air for 17 years now.

  • see how pathetic scotty was in 'relics' while the rest came in a fan made rubbish. film. no self decency

  • @sajakram1

i can't follow a word you are saying,

  • ah kirk had a fitting death in generations [ he fell down] .

  • star trek 5 was a flop compared to st4. so who wasted the money making a star trek about erm god in a sci-fi? so this turd wasnt allowed to waste anymore money. and whered spock get a brother from , how ridiculous. then this kirk wanted to be in star trek 11 . how hes dead , since generations. you know he wrote a book in which the romulans 'revived' him. then it had the borg in it and the voyager from another universe it got weirder oooh and kirk was the erm hero in this book PATHETIC

  • @sajakram1

like i said 5 had issues however Trek was still popular enough to make a 6th movie with the TOS crew, yet 5 is not the biggest flop in Star trek history, that 'honor' belongs to Nemesis, witch actually made 9 million dollars less, ended the TNG area permanently and rebooted the Trek movies with Kirk in the lead again. Star trek: the Return is a best selling novel, read it its a good read, for both TOS and TNG fans. in it Kirk AND Picard are the main characters..

  • @sajakram1

oh and for your information, they tried and tried to get Shatner into Trek 2009, but they were not able to figure a way to write him in. the writers wanted too, the director wanted to and Shatner himself wanted too, call it a lack of the writers skills to make it work if you want. they did write a scene for him but everyone agreed that wasn't very well done, again blame the writers if you want.

  • KIRK IS JUST AN ATTENTIPON SEEKER kill him and your the greatest galaxy warrior right.. no wonder his crew always complained that all episodes were always about him, spock, mccoy. asking a doctor advice about non medical stuff real caption material. kirk cunt even defeat the PAKLEDS.. LED ALONE Q,NAGILUM, CARDASSIANS ECT

  • @sajakram1

what is 'attentipon' and how does one seek it? ''greatest galaxy warrior'' sounds like a Japanese show. never heard his crew complain acually they seemed very loyal to their Captain. 'caption material' i don't recall Kirk even had a camera or McCoy for that matter. seeing Kirk never met them i don't see how he could lose or win from them.

why is it okay for Nimoy (or Frakes) to ask for the director seat but not Shatner?

  • kirk sounds like turd.

  • @sajakram1

just like ''doughnut'' sounds like ''doughnet'' right?

  • i can see the kirk now with a doughnet in one hand. trying to be a diplomat....

  • @sajakram1

    yes your right THE Kirk.

  • kirk wont last 5 secs against the borg. hell be too busy asking the DOCTOR for his combat and technology experience. oh yes hed say to the borg i have a corbomite bomb ..... he was too fat and too dead to be in star trek 11

  • @sajakram1

Picard would talk to his counselor in the middle of a battle (even have a meeting during a Borg attack)...and who crashed the ship again?

Kirk was in Star trek 2009, Picard wasn't.

a Kirk vs Picard rant, ah so 1990s

  • if you watch tng episodes youll see the crew have meetings like a proper crew . while the old one it was only them kirk, spock , mccoy chatting amongst themselves , not organised like a real crew. how would taking kirk out make some1 the greatest warrior in the entire galaxy. old crew was not organised

  • @sajakram1

Kirk is the Captain, the crew followed his orders, sounds pretty organized to me.

and never saw the episodes where Kirk talks with his crew in the conference room then ?

Klingon's have a warrior culture and Kirk is the Captain of the Enterprise and that ship saw plenty of fighting, going after say Chekov would have been really silly.

still don't see why its okay for Nimoy to demand the director seat for him to return in the next movie and not for Shatner,

  • @sajakram1

  • kirk got jealous and said , spock made 4 i wana make 5 . in the movie klingons say , if we defeat kirk ,well be the GREATEST warriors in the galaxy...... spock criticised shitner publicly , saying he does not understand star trek. when he came up with a 'brother for spock. and the god thing. fact is . they were finished after st 1. but st tng revived their careers . that also spurned ds9 , voyager, enteprise and the movies. crew said why is it always about kirk, spock and the doctor ....

  • @sajakram1

Nimoy didn't want to do more Trek UNLESS he could direct the next movie, why is that okay for him but not for Shatner? Kirk is the greatest Captain in the history of Starfleet off course Klingon's would want to take him down. Shatner himself has said he didn't fully understand Trek until after Kirk was killed off, he would not have had the character die if he understood this sooner. movies 1-4 made TNG possible. Kirk, Spock and McCoy are the main characters thats why.

  • this shitner came out with a 'spocks brother' after all those years struggling as a half human child. . it was meant to make kirk a hero thats why it the storyline was ruineds. then we had the 'god' charactor aswelldont say were he came from although theres a book in which the q lock him up

  • @sajakram1

as i said 5 has issues, also in its production like budget cut after budget cut. Nimoy himself said something in the lines of that its admirable that Shatner was still able to create a movie with those conditions. make Kirk a hero? he was already the hero long before these movies came out.

  • see how pathetic star trek 5 was in which kirk was the 'hero' who came from camping saved the universe and went back to camping . what a attension seeking shitner turd

  • @sajakram1

5 wasn't that bad. sure it has issues, but atleast it still tried to be Startrek (unlike some other trek movies) its still the only trek movie to date where the Enterprise seeks out strange new worlds.

''shitner turd'' huh? he spent a hole part of the movie about the fears of Spock and McCoy, not Kirk's because we have already seen that (death of his son and losing the Enterprise) classy to step aside and have his co-stars shine.

  • It's Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off!!!! xD

  • I refuse to believe that silly reporters still exist in the 23rd century.

  • @lsl70

really when if you remember a TOS episode were we can clearly see that the Enterprise makes its own visual records. why not just post these on TV...oh wait they are not supposed to have TV anymore as well...or is that what Earth does all day? watch the FNN? (Federation News Network) or something? :P

  • this is no different than the beginning of the movie, you just left some of it out. this is no alternate beginning

  • Hey... it's John Connor's mom from Terminator 2.

  • @mahdogzbite

indeed it is. well not his 'mom' that would be Sarah Conner. this actress played Conner's foster mom.

  • @henkman00

    Oh yeah you're right...

"Todd and Janelle are dicks... but I gotta warn them" -John Connor.

  • Ha! I thought it was dammed funny

  • Kirk: "Kids today!"

  • ROFLMAO, nice!

  • "oh really?" see ya! lol

  • I bet Ferris Bueller is the chief engineer.

He won't show up until Tuesday.

  • @Takeshi357 LOL, we all remember what happens when Ferris gets his hands on a vehicle :)

  • lol, just.. lol

  • Hilarious.

Clearly Captain Harriman was someone's nephew...

  • Well, John Harriman was so...dumb acting, I'm not surprised Kirk decided to leave. LOL

  • "Oh really," laterz... lol

  • Awesome!

  • Ha, ha! Kirk left because he was offended by the reference to his age!

  • HAHAHAAAAAAHAHAHA!! Loved it. Nice job. I did one of these once fr Star Trek V.

Kirk's climbing El Capitan, Spock suddenly shows up wearing his booster rocket boots, scares Kirk, and Kirk falls. Roll end credits. =)

Love Shatner. Would like to see him play Kirk once more.

  • pretty good

  • I never liked how they had that hounding celebrity obsessed media culture in the 23rd century. I don't believe that was ever seen in Star Trek before. That's an immature aspect of society that should have been left behind in the 21st century. Also a primary tool utilized by government to distract people from the important issues of what their government is doing to effect their lives. I fear for the Federation if people are getting elected to office based on their candy coated celebrity.

  • "I remember reading about your missions in grade school."

    Kirk: "0rly?"

(Steps back into door and leaves)

  • Hahah this is great!

  • hahaha, thats exactly how it should of been!

  • this was not a fair assessment of your talents as an editor, cause it sucked

  • @TheDudar

this was not a fair assessment of your talents as an youtube commenter, cause it sucked

  • @henkman00 hhahaah!! GREAT come back!!

  • @TheDudar The art of insult is well known to you sir.

  • Cameron from ferris buler captian of a starship that must be one nurotic captian

  • I read in a book that had Kirk not "died" in the past and not helped Picard against Soran the Borg would have assimliated earth in the past during first contact.

  • No one wanted to see Kirk killed off. The writers just did it anyway. Vulcan's destruction for whatever reason didn't bother me in the latest Star Trek, but killing off Capt. Kirk AND destroying the Enterprise D in the same movie just irked me too much.

  • Hey! Isn't the captian of the Enterprize B (John Harriman) the actor that played Farris Beuler's best friend??? If not, then it sure does look like him!

  • You know, alot of people complain about the Enterprise-Bs captain, John Harriman... They're absolutely right, he sucked...

  • @SirBroadsword

its the script. he was writen to be less of a Captain than Kirk or Picard. but they went so over the top with that that you have to wonder why Harriman was ever given the keys to this ship....

  • @henkman00 Im surprised he ever graduated the academy

  • @henkman00 Im surprised he ever graduated the academy. Besides, you are not given command of a ship until you've already commanded one as a first officer acting in place of the captain.

  • @henkman00 did the enterprise have..... keys? lol Starfleet key fob with cental locking oohhh yeaa

i wonder if the deflector dish blink like turnsignals when u lock it? lol

  • @henkman00 Harriman returned in a few "independant" Star Trek movies. Suprisingly he really kicked ass after a year or two on the job. Whoda thunk?

  • @SirBroadsword he was better on Ferris Bular's Day Off. Ah, yes, Allen Rock.

  • I don´t want to be bored or childish, but I think that this movie was a huge mistake. The story is shitt. It´s a sad movie. Bring as a Kirk whose dream was live alone in a farm ? Excuse me, Kirk´s home is the Enterprise, among his friends and responsabilities as a captain.

  • @MauricioCasteglione

what is chidish about expressing your opinion? an opinion i happen to agree with. the hole movie is suffering from the bad script.

here's one: Kirk says he has an empty house because of his job. the writers clearly dont know Kirk. he had a wife and son, with his wife it just didnt work out and his son was murderd. he had a family.

  • @henkman00 That´s true. This film gives us this impression: That the writers are talking about a character that they don´t know.

  • @MauricioCasteglione

in the Nexus Kirk sould have seen his ultimate dreams come to live. if he really regrets not having a wife and children...then would he not find Carol and David there? or relive the death of Edith Keeler so he could save her without changing the future? or would he find himself on the bridge of the original Enterprise? figuring out Kirks dreams isnt that difficult.

  • yeah there are only 3 dreams Kirk would have being with carol/david, being on his enterprise bridge again, or seeing old friends that he killed like Gary Mitchell again.

  • @MrHoppers002 but, I am sure that Kirk wanted to see his brother again, and his sister-in-law, both killed on that planet that had those creatures sucking the life outta anyone.

  • that would fall in the category of family like david/carol. I agree Kirk would love to see his brother again. It's not hard to figure out what Kirk wanted in a dream. It's hard to figure out what picard wants because the man has no interests besides archeology.

  • Nothing childish about expressing one's opinion. That being said, I have to be a technical jerk and remind you that, as far as I know, Kirk never married Carol. That's why David had her last name (Marcus) and not Kirk's.

  • at 12 sec, the head gear is a Nintendo Konami Laser Scope! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! they just added a few lights.

  • @Jennigirlts

LOL i think your right! :D

  • First Contact should of been first. Maybe they could of gotten their ideas better organized. Kirk lasted in the movie only for about 15 minutes.

  • lol, i love how he just steps backinto the shuttle pod and drives away.

  • This is one of them films that should never of happened it didnt make any sence when it came out and made less sence when FC came out because as far as iam concerned it all took place in the nexus, stupid idea for a plot anyway and they killed off kirk, i wished they had just made FC for the first film and not bothered with this, to me its just a normal bad episode of TNG not that there was many of them mind but with a few more bucks thrown at it

  • Hats off, hysterical, and under a minute, this is like an excellent one liner and a good night everyone.

  • You leave an afterimage after exiting the Nexus, but it is not you. Think of Heracle's shadow in the realm of Hades, it is a similar deal.

  • its a good idea you have really. but the thing is this wasnt explained like this. what Quinan says can also be interpreted as ''i cant go because then there will be two of me''

remember this is not the underworld, this is a place where time doesn't matter, that would mean Soran, Picard and Kirk always will be in the Nexus and always where because if there is no time then there is no moment of entering or exiting the Nexus, you are there that's it. perhaps a plothole but still

  • Of course this is not the underworld, this is an alternate plane, but it has been explained by ST head honchos many times it works the way I'm telling you. You can go in and out of the Nexus as many times as you want/can, but after you go in the first time and leave, you'll leave an afterimage. It's a messy concept, but that's the way it is. What Guinan says is that she can't leave because she's already out, that what Picard is seeing is not the real one.

  • ''but it has been explained by ST head honchos many times it works the way I'm telling you. ''

that ST writers try to fix plot holes as an afterthought doesn't change the fact they dint write those idea's in the movie.

Guinan says ''i cant leave, i'm there already remember?'' not ''i cant leave im nothing but an afterimage remember''

''What Guinan says is that she can't leave because she's already out,''

acually by this point in the story the 'original' Guinan is dead.

  • What you say Guinan says and what I say Guinan says are the same thing, dude.

Also, why do you say the original Guinan is dead by this point? I remember her being present at Will and Deanna's wedding. Am I that fuzzy?

  • ''What you say Guinan says and what I say Guinan says are the same thing, dude''

no it doesn't. because if she said ''afterimage'' we would know she isn't real, but she says ''im all ready there'' which tell us she cant leave because then there will be two of her. why else is this her concern?

''Also, why do you say the original Guinan is dead by this point?

Guinan was on the planet that blew up. this was before Picard went back in time, so at this point there is only one Guinan.

  • Of course she is not gonna say it straight, she's never talked about things straight, did you not notice that when watching every single TNG episode with her involved? She always talks fuzzy. She cannot leave because she is just an image, IE cannot leave because there is not any matter for her in the outside space and she just cannot take it nor create it. And as far as I remember Picard was inside the Nexus way before the explosion engulfed the Ent D.

  • Picard ended up in the Nexus before the planet with Enterprise-D went up. Guinan was dead in this point in the story.

in ''yesterday's Enterprise'' Guinan shows she has the ability to sense when a timeline was changed, why dint the 'afterimage' warn Picard this time then? Picard never knew the ship was in pieces. its all plot convenience, they could not have her warn Picard because then he would save the ship. it does make Guinan another foolish character in this movie because of this.

  • No, Guinan was not dead at that point, she died with Riker, Geordi and the rest. Unless you're talking about the warp core breach, but no, that was not the case.

About the afterimage not having the same skills as Guinan, of course she wouldn't as she isn't the real deal. She can't and therefore neither can Picard.

I gree with you it's all plot shenanigans, but the space is short. You drop by the GameFAQs Star Trek message board and create a topic calling me out so we can further discuss this.

  • that is what i mean lets call her ''Guinan-1'' at this point in the story she is dead. like everyone on board the Ent-D. Guinan-2 wouldbe the 'afterimage' who for some reason walks into Picard's fantasy, and for some reason Soran( or Soran-2 assuming he has one) never did. side note odd the writers never figured to have Kirk and Picard visit Soran's fantasy. that way we may have known and even understood him.

    ''GameFAQs Star Trek message board''

never been there before :) maybe i will.

  • Drop by and call me out, I'll be waiting.

  • and this second Guinan doesn't even tell Picard the Enterprise has been destroyed and that her other self along with everyone else is dead by this point. (corrected by going back and prevent the star from blowing up)

clearly this is a different Guinan, one that doesn't know what is going on in the outside world. yet she knows Picard....odd.

  • Of course she wouldn't tell him that. Because she doesn't know. That afterimage was created after she went in for the first time and before she left, which was way before the Ent D even existed. And it was Picard who identified her inside, not the other way around. Now, she seems to be friendly and acquainted with Picard because El Aurians are weird. Just like Soran was somewhat acquainted with Picard and Kirk, but didn't care because he was a MoM by then.

  • true she always talked fuzzy. save here she said she cant leave because she is there already. not i cant excist there. and even if we except this as talking fuzzy it still has a Picard that doesn't ask why not.

if this is the 'afterimage' of her from 2293 she sould have said ''who are you?'' when she saw Picard. even why would the afterimage be in Picard's fantasy if the image dint go there on her own? Picard dint think her up he was surprised to see her

  • I just noticed this comment. About the hypothetical question, Guinan never acted like that during TNG's run, and the movie shouldn't be the dividing point. And the fantasy wasn't Picard's only, it was more like a collective illusion, as ironical as it might be for a former Borg.

  • She first met Picard long, long before 2293, in 1883 to be exact (time travel, "Time's Arrow").

Of course, she doesn't seem astounded about meeting this man for the second time, but might be putting on a pretense knowing he should know her by now.

  • Time's Arrow. hmm you're right off course. but why would she not be surprised to see this man she met 410 years before? even for her that is a long time.

there doesn't seem to be a difference between the 2371 and 2293 Guinan. 'im there already remember?' if this was Guinan that doesn't know about the outside world would she not react like 'been a long time Picard'

perhaps both Guinan's are in contact in some way.

  • El Aurians work in mysterious ways, in ways we mere humans cannot perceive.

Remember, they can face the Q.

  • @Elessar267

yes, but it sould still make sense in a movie, or she is just a plot convenience.

also they are not gods. Picard could have saved his ship if she told him what happened outside.

face the Q? how so? all she ever did was stand there (Q who) there is no sign that Q met his match. with everything Q did Guinan could never fix and or stop it/him. so im not sure what you mean by facing a Q, save in the same way as Picard did. Q did say off course Guinan was trouble

  • @Elessar267

    @Elessar267

but we where never told why or how these two know echoter.

  • @Elessar267 That's kind of what I wanted the next TNG movie to be if it had been made: El Aurians, with Guianan of course, and Q.

  • MoM?

no. Soran to Kirk ''who the hell are you?''

he dint know who Kirk was after Picard told him, he then knew Kirk because of his knowledge of history. ''i am familiar with history Captain, and if I'm not to much mistaken....you're dead!''

  • MoM= Man on a Mission, he was insane, of course he can't recognize Kirk WHO ALREADY HAD SAVED HIM in Ent B, because he was completely out of his mind.

  • lol, funny as hell!!! XD

  • great! cant really blame kirk though. i mean, couldnt somebody better than cameron from ferris bueller's day off have taken his place? i'd be pissed to lol

  • One thing though....if it is the Nexus then surely Captain Kirk is not really dead?

  • fascinating.......if we have to keep watching shatners weight go up and down on his various tv shows , why shouldnt it be happening in the nexus? LONG LIVE the SHAT-MAN

  • It's possible but from what we see in the movie, once you leave the Nexus willingly, you are out and back in real space-time. Guinan is only there because she was forced out or "ripped out" as she says and it is only a peice of her. It's also possible that a fragment of Soran is in there too, though it is never stated and wouldn't make a difference.

  • They dropped a bridge on him.

  • Hehe, funny

  • Lol, I suddenly pictured him going crazy on a car after that scene. XD D'oh!

  • No...you need to cut to the clip in ferris bulers day off when cameran kills his dads car.

  • "still bordering me" ?

    do you mean "bothering"?

  • okay my face is red :P

    see im THAT upset :D

  • In this film, first he dies to save the ship of people (not trivial), then he dies to save an entire planet (again not trivial). Maybe you want a better villain than Soren then? I think they should have made him more batshit crazy in the script, al a Clockwork Orange if you know what i mean (anyone get that reference?).

  • Soren wasnt the problem. its the way Kirk just drops by and dies. he saves a hole planet?(with never seen aliens so it doesnt really matter we never feel sorry for them or feel YES THERE SAVED!) this isnt the issue its that he runs after a remote and falls of a cliff. it becomes meaningless when you realise that not only does he die in an poor way it wasnt even needed: all Picard had to do was go back in time on the Enterprise and arrest Soran there. the ship saved, the planet and Kirk.

  • the movie makes everyone look foolish: Riker doesn't keep firing 10 torpedo's at a time. Picard doesn't use the Nexus in a good way, he doesn't save his ship or even Kirk. Data is comic relief. and Kirk is shown as a has been who's sole purpose in the movie was to have William Shatner's name on it. come one he falls of a bridge because he jumps after a remote. not just meaningless but uninspired writing. and technically he helped Picard to save the aliens we never get to see, he dint even do it.

  • his sacrifice therefore dint mean anything. it may as well have been a red shirt.

its all convenience writing. Kirk needed to fall of a cliff, so they made the rocket have a cloak witch you turn of with a remote witch just happens to lie there when the bridge gets blown in two. but the remote doesnt operate the rocket by remote (???) so Picard can save the day by locking the rocket and Kirk can die. Picard saved the never seen aliens. but Kirk helped!

    very bad death.

  • there is also no real emotion in his death, his death is very hollow. compare it to Spock's funeral. but what did we did get where two ''funny'' TNG moments after the two death scenes: Worf falling in water and Data finding his cat.

i left this movie feeling empty back in the day.

  • to be clear i mean that the remote doesnt lock the rocket. even when its a....remote.

very long comment back i know :P

  • If only this had happened JTK would be alive!

  • aaaaahahahahhaa that was pretty good lol

  • Ahahahaha, don't reminder Kirk just how old he really is.

  • OMG this was made almost 15 years ago? I was freaking 18 then and didn't even watch Star Trek in fact I hated it today I couldn't live without it LOL

  • nice one hehe

  • O Reallyyy!?!? Super funny

  • ahahahahahaHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAH what a heart break!!!!!! that was funny. good job!!!

  • lol

  • Hunh?

  • hehe, nice!

  • Good job buddy :D

  • Omg that was good. Im almost cryin here... LOL

  • Looks like Cameron finally made something of himself.

  • lol, what an asshole :P

  • I bet Harrimen got fired after that ;)

  • nice job editing i watch that three times and still laughed ... i bet the real shatner would of done that too

  • LOL, nice.

  • lol

  • thanks Jazzman! :)

  • u know with the new star trek movie there should be another TV series, like a story about the Enterprise B or C

  • or even the Excelsior or something, but set it in main universe or the new one?

  • Ummm i think Henkman you and others have seriously misunderstood much of the plot from this film. The nexus does not allow you to travel through time. Soren does not end up in the nexus at the end, he dies! Also because Kirk dies in the real world, he is not in the nexus any more therefore there is no way to bring him back. I'm afraid he's gone guys. Maybe watch the film again, yeah?
