@sheepwolf2004 No way, Gordon sounds WAY too much like Woody Allen, if you don't count him as Clamhead on Jabberjaw, and as a walk-on role of Archie's lawyer on Archie Bunker's Place
"Clue Club" was the show that replaced "Scooby Doo" on CBS-TV's Saturday Morning schedule from the 1976-1977 season. "Clue Club" was a bland carbon copy formula of Scooby Doo...hook,line,and sinker with a junior high school girl who knew the villains ever move before the rest of the gang did even solve the mystery.
@rayssonation Be that as it may, but if you want to size up the Scooby clones and rip-offs during that period, at least this isn't as slow as dead molasses (Speed Buggy), doesn't have sloppy animation (New Scooby-Doo Movies), and FAR from being a crappy moronic no-brainer (Fangface). It might be somewhat predictable, but at least it's FAR from shallow. All in all, this really is one of the better Scooby clones that's VERY well-written, plus FULLY captures the mood and the spirit pf the '70s.
I remeber this cartoon as a kid. There also was another one, I remember as a kid, but I can't remeber the name. The older brother was a Evil Kenevel type at a circus, and when he wasn't doing stunts him and his siblings, were solving mysteries. Maybe someone could help me out with the name?
Only if they minimize the annoying dogs' role and play up Dottie's. She's the really interesting character of the series and probably an inspiration for Inspector Gadget's Penny.
Actually Boomerang did brought it back 4-5 months ago as part of their weekday afternoon line called "Those Meddling Kids" an hour and a half of meddling mayhem. You can still have a chance of seeing it again on Boomerang next month "Time Warner Cable" channel 109.

I can only imagine the stress the folks at Hanna-Barbera had in the '70s and '80s for having to come up with villains for every Scooby-like show.

It's 'Devlin' -- another Hanna Barbera cartoon -- from 1974. Micky Dolenz from the Monkees voiced one of the characters.

I loved this cartoon as a kid. It's hard to find now. Woofer and Whimper are similar to Labrador and Lafayette from one of the DIsney features.
