@whatsbrewinguk It was a partial with black malt crystal malt and porridge oats roasted for 30 mins at gas mark 4, 180 oc with 500g light malt extract and target hops
Haha cheers for the mention mate. Sounds like you enjoyed this home brew. I am starting to appreciate coffee more when it's used well. You always impress me with your knowledge and skill in brewing. Top man!
@nickong796 Im drinking it now and i really do wish i did a 5 gallon batch but also it was only a test extract batch im going to convert it to all grain some time soon. The coffee i used was from france when i went there almost a month ago =)
haha @mrgrimviking impression was spot on haha
=
sounds similar to the SALTAIRE HAZELNUT COFFEE PORTER with a difference the HCP as a taste of CHOCOLATE rather than METAL haha

You have a great pallet, much better than I have. I wish I could put into words the tastes I get from beers.
Cheers!!!

@DevonHomeBrew Use pale and amber 4:1 for coffee flavour. Doesn't need much hopping and a fruity hop such as Bramling X will work, fuggles maybe.
