@ohlookitslei i read somewhere that this was written on playing his piano and then its supposed to double as being about an ex girlfriend "krystal" and himself talking years after they broke up. i don't know if you listen to Something Corporate but Krystal is the girl that he based the song "Konstantine" on, which is my favorite song, and i think its pretty cool that it can be viewed as either way and make complete sense the entire time.

Dude, I think you missed the point of the song. His friend called him saying that she was depressed, and the pills her doctors are putting her on aren't doing anything. He used to write her songs, and she misses that. Since she can't sleep, he writes her a lullaby.
