  • access virus ti 2 then omnisphere

  • Purchasing soon ,thanks bro

  • @icycolds no doubt fam

  • wanna get this to use in maschine do they work well together??there compatible right?

  • @samnfelicia yes indeed

  • Very nice vid. I been looking to purchase this for a while. Made my mind up after this. Thanks for taking the time to upload this.

  • @mech289 cool man, glad to help

  • getting my copy of omnisphere next week!! should arrive at my house on tuesday! cant wait

  • @caressxofxsteel it's a really great library man!

  • @SoundsAndGear well what started the path was the fact that ive had my roland fantom x7 for over 4 years now. i love the board, its fantastic and im very comfortable with how everything functions but ive been growing tired of modifying and mangling up stock patches to come up with something fresh ya know? then i heard a song called a nightmare to remember by dream theater.....it was stupifying! i then found out jordan rudess was using omnisphere and so i did what i usually do

  • @SoundsAndGear ill infiltrate. i dug inside and checked it out and it just floored me the quality of sound, how massive the library way, how user friendly the interface in omnisphere is, and then i remember about 9 months later or so my buddy called me up and told me that he had bought omnisphere and he has used it in everything hes done with music so i went to his house and test drove it and i was sold from that point on and now im gettin my own on tuesday lol

  • @caressxofxsteel yes man, I agree, it's really a top of the line product, sound quality is amazing and the user interface is really easier to use yet super powerful. And I love how they keep adding to and updating it man, pretty crazy. No need to tell you that you'll enjoy it, as you already experienced it lol, congrats on the purchase!

  • @SoundsAndGear hahaha thanks. and yeah im mainly known as a big rush and dream theater rip off (notice my username i made when i was like 16?) in my music and i play guitar and keyboards in this hard rock band called klaymore and i love the music we write but i dont wanna be known strictly from that. i in the last several months have fallen in love with film scoring and im gonna start writing film scores when i get it. i love my fantom x7 but it doesnt match up to this...period

  • @caressxofxsteel agree man, straight up :) Great choice for sure!

  • i got this and this along with trillian and stylus will set you up for sucess

  • @drewinfinite word, I have them as well, don't use stylus much though

  • I love it - I didn't realize Omnisphere did these kind of sounds.

I'd like to see another video like this focusing just on more of the traditional/keyboard/"workstation" type sounds.

    Cheers Sir

  • @weaponEX yeah man, many miss these sounds in there, I'll do one on the keyboard sounds too

  • OMG did you hear that PRS!

  • @jonesboy35757 I know omnisphere is awsome i have had it for a year hey u like that PRS i made a awsome beat with that PRS Guitar if u want to hear it let me know i will upload it so u can hear it

  • @reikosuave923 yeah man I would love to hear it!

  • @jonesboy35757 Ok i posted the beat its under PRS GUITAR REIKO BEATS, i have 15 other beats but there not from omni so anyway hope u like it

  • @reikosuave923 Hey I listened to the beat man and is sounds good. I think if you put a bass under the guitar in the hook then it would really bring the track out. And add some 1/32 high hats in the hook as well and that track will sing! Is there a way to make that PRS sustain more? Like all the way from note to note? If so, I would do that too! It feels like the track is building up momentum but when it gets to the hook that momentum does not turn into a climax. Add those elements for climax ;)

  • @jonesboy35757 Awsome yea tx for taking the time to listen i will go back and try to add those elements like u said, if u make music u should get omnisphere it has thousands of crazy sounds. Tx for the feed back

  • @SoundsAndGear Thanks St. Joe... someting else that I GOT to buy... It was so funny because I starting to look at Omnisphere and then you did a review on it. Ironic. The same thing happend with Maschine. BTW my production has been ridiculous and i have only made like seven tracks in Maschine so far. Thanks!

  • @jonesboy35757 dope fam, glad to help!

  • This is a must have lol

  • @DeGraff187 yes indeed fam!

  • I wonder if there is a way to convert all these patches to a more common format like kontakt?

  • @pppeeeppee I doubt it, but why would you want to do that? How it sounds has a lot to do with it's own engine, converting to another format wouldn't yield the same results.

  • @SoundsAndGear "but why would you want to do that? If I have the sounds in a format like soundfonts I would be able to manipulate the samples itself not sure if you can already do this in Omnisphere. Plus I bet it takes like 30 minutes for Omnisphere to load right? "converting to another format wouldn't yield the same results." True.. but I would just like something a little more of a format Im familiar with. It would be cool if there is a way that you could convert patches from any vst

  • @pppeeeppee uhmmmm you want to go from Omnisphere's native format into a soundfont?.....I guess man, everyone has their own way of working. And no Omni doesn't take 30 minutes to load, it's pretty dang instant. In my opinion you totally lose the concept of Omnisphere if you try to convert it to another format, the whole point is how the sounds and soundsources work with their proprietary STEAM engine.

  • @SoundsAndGear No I was just using soundfonts as an example. But I always thought Omnisphere was like the same concept as kontakt. Isn't it actual patches your loading into Omnisphere? With Kontakt you can convert the libraries to any format which is what I do most of the time because the actual libraries on kontakt takes nearly weeks with this slow computer to load. Please St. Joe explain how Omisphere works because from my understanding I thought what you were playing was patches.

  • @pppeeeppee No Omnisphere is not like Kontakt, Omnisphere is like any other plugin that has it's own set of patches and data, it's not a universal sampler like kontakt, machfive, or halion. It's a self contained instrument, like Massive, or Absynth or Nexus.

  • one thing what i don't like in omnisphere,, its a lot of power,, if to put 3 omnispheres vst,, ) pc starts to lag

  • @AndGz7 I guess that depends on your computer, I use anywhere from 4 to 8 or more with no problems

  • This is better than all the sounds in REASON 5 lol

  • @sig310 uhhh yeah...no contest lol

  • St. Joe!!! LilTimme checkin in wit u big homie! peace...

  • @liltimme1 whas good fam, thanks for the comment

  • I'll buy Omnisphere as soon as Spectrasonics add a Standalone function.

The sounds are awesome but, not everybody wants to open DAW software just to get to Ominisphere.

Working from the desktop (Standalone) is offered by EVERY competitor, so Spectrasonics should have offered this feature a LONG time ago.

Your reviews are awesome St. Joe!....Peace

  • @ShynAwkward vst mini host, savi host, toybear, and many others, allow you to make it standalone, and they are free :).

But I feel you though, really should be standalone by default. No question.

Thanks for the comment fam, truly appreciate them!

  • hmm great video but i honestly hate omnisphere for some reason haha

  • @FreestyleLilWayne cool, everyone has an opinion, plenty options out here

  • Definitely seems like the Swiss army knife of many sounds, I have been watching this for some time now.

It's a little pricey in most places where I see it, usually around the $500 USD range.

I'm sure it sound just as good without all of the reverb and has other nice features like the arpeggiator as well.

I would like to add it to my arsenals eventually.

Thanks for displaying this Brother SaintJoe....another good one Fam.

    Peace & blessings.

  • @Reggmail no doubt fam, it's a winner for sure

  • this is gravy man

  • @theoutsideas yes indeed

  • Nice Review On This.

  • @DatBoyDew thanks for watching fam

  • ayyy st joe how much is this i like it

  • @entyce66 this joint is 499

  • why did i always underestimate omnisphere...this is a amazing...omnisphere sounds perfect for my cinematic music!...im hoppin on this one... thanks st. joe..

  • @FreestyleEntOnline I dunno fam, but it's hot, been on it for years. Can't go wrong with this man, it's good for any type of music, yes it will be good for cinematic music too.

  • yo this joint is HOTTTT!!!!!!!!!

  • @bigsacful thanks for watching fam, yeah I been on it for a while...this is only a very small part of what's in this joint lol.

  • been using it for years now, one of the best plugin imo

  • @Vodje01 highly agree, I have as well.

  • Nice!

  • @EvGBeats no doubt, thanks for the comment.

  • @SoundsAndGear Please keep making those great reviews!

  • @EvGBeats will do, thank you

  • I have to second u on omni not being being soaked in reverb!! Omni sounds superb!!! They use high quality samples!!!

  • @prettdboy yeah...now EW has some libraries, specifically the orchestral, that are soaked in reverb at the raw sample level, most likely it's just the natural verb of the recording space, but I understand why. However in Omni, I never felt that at all.

  • The only criticism I have is that Omnisphere sounds are too big; even with FX completely off. Makes it more difficult to have a sound(s) sit in a mix that you want more stripped down. Raw samples seemed to be bathed in various reverbs/rooms.

I wish they were more stripped down.

  • @Kkidzz I dunno, I guess it's a matter of taste, I don't feel they are big or verb soaked at all, especially when you take the fx off. But it's cool, I know we all have different tastes. Thanks for the reply!

  • Omnisphere is hands down the best VSTi on the market. It has uses for all genres from electronica/urban to film scoring to "acoustic" singer/songwriter indie music.

  • @MarkSmithMusic I definitely agree...it's one of those "if I could only have one plugin" type of instruments, very deep and versatile. And just sounds great! Thanks for the comment.

  • Good follow-up review. I have it (and Trillian) and as you said - 5 out of 5 subs.

  • @clippinbass thanks for the comment fam, yes, love them both, no question...really great products

  • Why does it say patch? is this a add on?

  • @pasGedden7 not sure what you mean by patch but no this is not an add on, these are in the factory library

  • @SoundsAndGear Sorry. On the interface it says "patch browser" and @ 8:52 on the right on the interface in the middle. The logo is Omnisphere PATCH in all caps. But if its all factory sounds that cool and cheap for what you got for $499.

  • @pasGedden7 patch just means preset, so the patch browser is the preset browser, and each preset is called a patch.

  • OMG WTF lol this sounds REAL Ive heard of this before but holy ISHH this sound great CAN u make a tutorial of over to the crazy stuff? Thanks!

  • @pasGedden7 yeah it's great man, what tutorial do you mean?

  • amazing

  • @YEE941 yes indeed it is, love it.

  • THE BEST i use this everyday

  • @BMUSIK101 I agree, I love it, been using it for years.

  • How much does this go for? Does this hog up alot of cpu?

  • @StarBoyJonesProds Omnisphere is 499, 40gb of space and yes it requires a decent cpu to run it properly. Not insanely more than anything else though, the main thing is that it takes up a lot of hard drive space and needs a lot of RAM. 4gb ram is the minimum requirement.
