I think edge should have been played by Jonny Greenwood or Matt Bellamy. They're probably a bit more creative with their effects and their playing... And they actually know their way around their own rig. I think the edge spend too much of the film trying to keep up

Jack White: The Young, he is more the experimental, the DIY guy that plays around and looks for crazy tones out of regular instruments and takes them to a whole new level.
The Edge: The Scientist, the guy that has millions of effects and creates perfect and smooth guitar tones that take you to antother dimension.
I must say I always thought of the edge as a wanker. Just the fact that he goes by "the edge" seems dripping with egotism. Havin seen the movie however, he comes across as far more modest than page. Page definitely has the cock extension thing goin on ;-) and Jack... he just likes to rock out dirty loud and soulfull

When i saw the movie trailer for the first time i thought: fuck, why Edge, why not Morello xD but when i saw the whole movie i understood why these three has been choosen. the director wanted to show 3 tottaly different points of view on guitar playing. And i may unlike u2(because i do) but i must admit that Edge fits in here with all of his efects, echos and other stuff.

Jack White is the man. By far the greatest young musician living. Having watched this movie, Jimmy Page and Jack White leave the Edge in the dust. I respect the Edge for what he has accomplished, but come on... he's not even in the same league.

FUCK EVERYONE. This movie was fucking amazing. All of them are great. I don't liek U2, but this movie made me respect The Edge for being a very talented musical writer. Jack White is a fucking badass. Jimmy Page is God. I bet all these assholes making fun of the edge or white aren't even musicians and don't understand the impact of all three of these guitarists. Once again, FUCK EVERYONE.

As awesome as this movie is, the thing I got the most out of this video was that "Clevver TV" needs to find a vastly less retarded marketing strategy. The blond chick kind of spoiled the grandeur of three legends getting together about the one thing they love: music.
I would sell of my right testicle and left kidney just to be in the same building as those three men at once (much less play next to them), and the blond chick kinda ruined the vibe coming off the video.

eh -- I like Steady as She Goes better than Catch Hell Blues. I liked it, interesting and Catch is very zeplin-esque in several sections. Just so we are all clear, I never said I didnt like nor appreciate Jacks music, I do. Granted I've only heard a handful of songs by him but, again, the arguement was about Legends, living legends. Jack White is legit guys, don't just listen to what the radio plays. Yeah seven nation army is good and all but listen to his other music, the guy knows how to give a show, he only uses mostly pitch harmonic pedal, other than that he is able to push the guitar to its limits and create music like know other. I'm listening to "CATCH HELL BLUES" right now go check it out.

matro, im serious. maybe jack white is dam good and accomplished but hes unknown especially compared to Pages LONG history. Dont sell me on 3 legends. it is NOT! its 1.5 Legends and a roadie. This smacks of when they elevated Beyonce to the level of Robert Plant in that awards things couple years back. INSULTING as all Hell! Ridiculous BS! She just cut her teeth compared to Plants career and this jack white has cut maybe a couple more teeth than her, in age, but its the same dam thing man.

i find it funny how there's a scene in the movie where jack white explains how too much technology is distracting the creativity itself.
Then he meets with edge, who pretty much uses pedal effects as much a 16 yr old checks out chicks at the mall.

dudes quit paying out on the edge - sure his sound is all effects and hes not that great but there are a lot of kids out there who heard u2 songs and went and started playing guitar, that influence that he has is what makes HIM a legendary guitarist just like being one of the original awesome rock god guitarists makes jimmy page a legend... and jack whites pretty good too
