  • That's a 996.

  • isnt that a modded 996 turbo?

  • @125sxking not sure owners said was a 997, but was highly modified.

  • WHO WON?

  • @DONNIEBIG the porsche got their first but red lighted, but would have still won in a heads up race. It's almost a full second faster in the quarter mile.

  • Does any1 know if i can put the supercharger from a str6 into a plain crossfire, or does it need alot of hackin for the intercooler? or does it just fit perfectly, im thinking about upgrading my stock crossfire. and would love to extra 100-150HP i think str6 is 350 horse, and crossfire is 199, or something? let me know thanks

  • @DylanSask No the motors are different and setup with different compression ratios. You wouldn't be able to sustain half the boost these compressors put out. The cooling part wouldn't be as difficult, but tuning it would be. Rcompart on the crossfire forum has a deal of installing a complete motor and tranny for 9k. Was one he pulled out for an engine swap.

  • @DylanSask I believe the engine itself is actually a Mercedes SLK32 AMG engine. (might not be that specific model, but it is an AMG) I'm pretty unfamiliar with the normal Crossfire engine, but I'd say that your best bet if you want to get a good power increase would be to get the cylinders bored out. I'm sure it could handle some form of forced induction, but again I'm not familiar enough with the engine to tell for sure. Maybe try replacing the stock chip?

  • @DylanSask unlike what frankpedophile said, changing your compression is easy, all you would have to do is buy a set of low comp heads (off the supercharged 6) look for one smashed at a wreckers. Then get them fitted up. That should make your motor low compression which will enable you to get higher boost. You will need your computer tuned to run the lower compression and the charger. You will probably end up with more power than a stock supercharged srt6. Its the same with all motors

  • @nitrousninja1 now all i need is the money lol. i have looked for a wrecked srt 8, cant find one, nor can i find any smashed up crossfires. not many of them in canada.

  • omg thing is a beast haha nice job!

  • Quick 997!

  • Hit mid 10's later that day. I'm uploading another of one that went 9.90 stay tuned

  • nasty porsche!!!

  • wow

nice crossfire man. Im thinking of getting one but i also am thinking of getting a g35. what do you think that i should get

  • The G35 is a beautiful car, but it won't perform like this car. Prices on the SRT6's are in the low twentys and falling.

  • @frankpedregon I think the crossfire is the buy of the decade, yet people continue to bash them because they heard they're ugly and slow from Jeremy Clarkson.

  • the main detraction is that the srt6s only come in a automatic gearbox though its very good for an automatic the fun would be multiplied if it was a stick, my idea was to buy a limited x-fire thats manual and s/c it but the more research I do you cant just add the s/c amg built the engine up so I guess an srt6 with a built custom manual tranny would be possible right guys?

  • It really depends on how aggressive you want the tranny, yes a modded tranny and torque converter will get harder shifts. The only problem is the car is tough to launch as it is with mods. You would have to run drag radials like mickey thompsons all the time to take full advantage of it. Also the manual being added to the SRT6 can't be done. Some have already researched it.

  • haha I see, i guess 330 stock ponies is something to be admired in a car lighter than a mitsubishi eclipse. I think Im gonna save up some money after my basic training and get a black convertable srt6, or that nice red if they made srt's in the metal red

  • Thank You, yes they are a great buy and now into the mid teen's

  • Beautiful crossfire supercharger sound, those larger pulleys make a large sound difference!

  • what all do you have done to the SRT6. Im really considering getting one, but theres not many people that have modified them so I dont know what to expect from them

  • did you end up buying one?

  • @frankpedregon not yet, i have one more semester at college so i plan on getting something after then

  • @00prixgtp They will be low teens by then. They are anywhere from 13k-18k now and majority are with low miles since they weren't daily drivers for the original owners. Stay in touch.
