Gilda was one of a kind. She was not just hillarious, but a sweetheart. I grew up watching re-runs of SNL, and always adored Gilda.

I graduated high school in '76, & I had the hugest crush on Gilda at that time. My heart would skip a beat every time they'd show that photo of her munching the apple at the beginning of the show.

What a positive, great person she was! Why is it that back in those days there was so much raw talent. Look at Carol Burnet, the original SNL cast, and all of the great rocknroll, that is STILL what is mainly played on the radio. Although just a kid then, I am glad I was alive in the 70's!
