  • I see that VMI is still telling lies to the public. VMI is not the only school to face the invading yankee horde as a unit. The South Carolina Corps of Cadets did so at the Battle of Tullifinny.

  • I'm a Yankee re-enactor from Ohio, but I'd have to admit I have a lot of respect for the VMI cadets who made that fateful charge at new Market and also of the cadets of the Charleston S.C. Citadel who enlisted in the Confederacy in 1861 and many of its men who took part in every engagement of the war from Fort Sumter to the final campaigns of General Sherman's march through the Carolina's. Cadet Company D. 6th South Carolina Cavalry was one such company that fought in the war.

  • Rah Virginia Mil, Rah Rah Rah. Rah Rah, VMI, '12, '12, '12!

  • Great video - thanks for posting. My oldest is one of the first classmen who made the hike (84 miles).

  • I think that is very honorable that they made the long hike. That is very impressive. You must be very proud of your Cadet. Wow, I am just beginning our VMI journey with our rat and you are on your last year with your 1st classmen at VMI. Congrats to you all!

  • oh how funny. I keep seeing the back of my head in this video and those of my rat's grandparents. :-)
