i remember goin up the ski lift to get to the top, and on the way up I seen a mom with her son on her lap.. I don't know how it happened, but the kid fell off her lap and slid like 5 feet on his face.

Also when i leave these things floored I always end up crashing, or launching myself off a raised curve!! Perhaps in too heavy..

This vid brings back memories... i went there 2 years ago for vacation. I went on this on the advanced track ( the second time i went on) and went full throttle all the way.. i was going so fast until the turn @ 1:59 ..... I got a huge scar on my elbow which i still have today.... ahhh memories....

Fyi, I timed the ride time for this :

I hate when you get stuck behind someone going slow. Why the fuck are you on it if you want to go slow? You get so many slow kids and adults at Stowe.

Went here on the old cement tracks with my brother the eve of his golf tournament, and he wiped out. His arm was not pretty.

Sounds like this is quite common. Checkout my video. Luckily I got away with a grazed arm and grazed knee. I just got on again and carried on down .... but stopped filming, deciding instead to pay more attention to what I was doing.

My family had a farm in Hancock so I was up there from NJ every summer. Took my girlfriend on the slide once and she was one of those pain in the ass slow ones that backed up everybody behind her - never took her again after that! lol

excellent video. It SUCKS catching up to slow pokes on rides like this. I usually wait at the top to avoid that situation. I almost slammed full speed into an idiot who had stopped mid course at the one in Big Bear CA.

they said they put on the new fiber glass track replacing the old cement track that season (last summer)

I hear the new tracks isn't quite as fast but doesn't hurt as bad if you wipe.

Someone I was with did tip off their cart and still has scars from the fall on their arms and legs. If these tracks don't hurt as bad, I would hate to see what a fall on the old tracks would look like!

my brother's best friend wiped out on the old track in the late 80s & he had burns all over him from it. i was little at the time & when i rode only ended up with a small burn on my elbow.
