I love Lewis Black. And yet I fully understand why PETA went, and why they uploaded this. I'm not sure why compassion for sentient beings is such a bizarre notion to the average person.

Is the amount of food that feeds all domesticated animals enough to feed the world? If so, what would happen to farm animals as a large majority of their food source is gone? I would safely assume most would die slowly from starvation which seems kind of contradictory to what PETA hopes to accomplish. Of course, that is assuming there is enough plant based food to feed the world.

ive always been confused as to why ppl think its more ethical to eat plant life then animal life... i mean they are both alive, they are both "god's" children. they both can reproduce, they both can react to their enviroments. the only difference i see is one tends to have a brain and the other doesnt. even then vegans dont eat jelly fish so its not the brain that they see as a problem. so is it the intelligence factor? well new studies say plants can think aswell.some even move and capture prey

How is a human killing and eating an animal any different from, say, a starving wolf killing and eating a human? An animal is hungry, it sees an edible creature, it feasts. It's called the natural order. Strong animals eat weak animals.

I'll bear no ill will toward any vicious creature that tries to eat me. I'll sure as hell fight for my life and try to kill it first, but if the creature kills me, all it means is that I wasn't "fit" to survive, to use a Darwinian term.

One of the things we forget is that through domestication we've changed certain animals into things that are weak enough to kill; and therefore, no longer meant for the outside world.

We made them, can't realease them, and only have so much space to raise them without killing eveything else.

Basically we've created a situation where we have to kill them, so we might as well eat them instead of letting them go to waste.
