PLease can someone tell me what guitar tuning i need to play over this song? i'm in standard eadgbe and every note sounds of!! I so want to jam over this groove.
This is one of the sickest, funkiest basslines ever.....I played this song over and over on a Bose system.....can you imagine the vibes? lol.....yeah, it was that good.....v
wow, heard this today, forgot how good those funk parties were, killer song, ladies could not resist the grooves ,then the moves, shame some of these young pups dont bring it.

One nasty riff! I play this w/my band it just goes all overf me. Funk city! And the background vocals, the entire arrangement. Thank you, brother!

Hey Itinsley2, Carlos Martin on conga & Jimmy Young on drums. Probably east coast guys as
as "Sup" was recorded in NYC. Babbitt went to NYC after Motown went to LA (became in demand). Not certain what Bongo did after the move.

Hey Triniblackheart, Bassist is Bob Babbitt, Motown Funk Bro. A freakin' bass genius!! Catch his bass line on Stevie's "Signed, Sealed , Deliver."

@ckrein414 Babbitt is a genius indeed! Is that fellow Funk Brother Eddie "Bongo" Brown on the congas?

A great hit from 1975. Sounds however, like its from Detroit in the late sixties.
Thanks for posting!

Ben hit #5 in Billboard, 4-26-75. When Ben sings that high, he sounds like George Benson, right, gang? God blesss ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
