Unfortunately, her husband Andre turned out to be a big mistake. He was controlling and abusive to Natalie. But Natalie didn't want to let him go because of the letter that she put in her Bible asking God to send her someone. She thought this was the man that God sent her and somehow everything would work itself out. But it only got worse when he also was cheating on her. Sometimes just because you ask God for something, if it is not his will, it will not work out.
Natalie is a beautiful woman. She speaks and carries herself with soo much style and grace. And add the fact that she can sing like a lark. You can't get much better than that.

But, who says perfection is necessary? Would I rather be single, or have been married to Natalie for 10 years and now divorced? Easy decision ... but ... once again, there's not many Natalie Cole's.
I am so glad she never succumbed to the temptation in Hollywood to have drastic plastic surgery to fit into what the media feeds people of color: that if you have broad African features, you should thin them out a bit to pass, in order to appease people and fit into a narrow definition of white beauty. I admire her for that. Her and Tina Turner. All I see these days are black celebrity nose jobs and skin lightenings. It's sickening. I love you, Natalie!
@cjs33139 She didn't have anything to fix. She doesnt have big lips or thin ones. Her nose isnt flat or excessively broad. Her eyes are beautiful. She did the only think she could which was wear makeup and a a little hair from time to time.... LOL
@tommiexander I read the book Angel On My Shoulder. I don't recall a nose job but i could have very well missed it. I'm not doubting you though. Thanks for the info. :-)
Generally speaking, women in western societies are extremely vulnerable and left to make decisions they are not at all prepared to handle concerning life-long partners. TV shows, not wise leaders or family members are the teachers.
Natalie Cole is so sexy and wonderful. She is a true Sophisticated Lady. She always takes her life lessons and is willing to share them with others. She is so talented, and funny. I am so glad for all the good things that has come her way and even in he obsticles, she always rises above them and shares with the world what she has learned. I just love Natalie Cole. Her father Nat King Cole would be so proud of her.
Unlike MOST females, I AM a generally accurate judge of character & I wouldn't need refer 2 a book (or person) 2guide me on what 2look4 in friendship/companionship (I already know what how 2embrace those who are complementary & wouldn't need 2seek guidance on the obvious),
Natalie Cole is the most beautiful woman I've seen in my lifetime. Period. If we were around the same age, we'd be married! :)
