that's not entirely true. a vast majority of israelis supported the destruction of gaza, to name one example (the number of palestinian civilians that were killed in gaza is greater than the number of israeli civilians which have died in all the attacks by Hamas since Hamas was established more than 20 years ago). a lot larger a majority than the one which supports hamas or other islamist movements in the Occupied Territories. Just last week israel killed well over a hundred people in Gaza. This was reported as Israel acting in self defense. Most likely in response to these actions, an arab murdered 8 or 9 Israelis. This was reported as being proof of the evilness of arabs.

The Israeli military is moral b/c they assess every military op through judicial means before said operations. Their mandate is to preserve the lives of innocent palestinians, while seek out terrorist militants.

Dershowitz is highlighting the difference between accidentally killing Civilians (the IDF never intentionally kill civilians) and purposefully mudering women and children. Get a grip!

Contrast this with the UN, which found itself in a very similar situation in Srebrenica, where it similarly failed to foresee and counteract a massacre (of substantially greater scale) that was clearly about to happen.
That incident did not preclude the UN from receiving a Nobel peace price at around the same time that Ariel Sharon was facing prosecution at the international court of justice.

That foreseeing this requires merely an iota of common sense is testament to the behavior we've come to expect from Arabs.
However, what I said in my earlier post is correct - his responsibility was found to be indirect, not just by the Israeli commission but also by a US federal court. Indirect and personal are not in fact antonyms, I guess this must be confusing for you.
