@eddymccrindle the only thing i can suggest is to practice it very slowly at first...
- First make sure you are comfortable with the charlier cut...
- Then practice the first part of the charlier (in your non dealing hand) whilst book cutting some more cards to the cards held by your thumb...
Retaining a break between these cards on your thumb is the un-natural part... this just requires practice... Then let the cards under the break drop to the bottom packet and Charlier as normal...
