well you have to connect it to the zune marketplace b4 you can use the device. after that depending on how long that device was on the store shelf you might get a message telling you to update to the latest firmware. and yes you get 5 games after the update has finished install.

I never had zauri so i can't say, but space battle is sweet, best shooter so far, the physics and the ui is sweet, you can customize your ship as well.

Have you tried updating the firmware, it will install when u update.

that's probably the older version of the zune. u can tell because of the style, and the loading symbol was different.

The same games that are on the newer zunes can run on the first gen zune. although if the games was created with the touch pad in mind you might have some issues, for the most part most of the games are for both first and second gen zunes.

i have a 30gb and I pretty sure its the old one but I got two games when I updated it just recently I got the texas poker one and hexic hd (which is one of my favorites since I like puzzle type games) and it has a clock on it too

You have to get the xna tool kit in order to add games. as well as Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition

soon I hope, I think they are getting the new software ready for the Canadian launch, and I'm guessing a new firmware update, that will include the game features as well as audible support and maybe more video support. that's my best guess.

probably not this one, but he talked about developers being able to make games for the first gen zune. so you'll be able to play some games, but not all.

initially I'm sure they will be free, but since you have to buy a subscription for Xbox live you are paying for it already.

As for zune marketplace not sure, although because the games will be developed by  independent developers there might be sites where we can get games for free, much like how you can get blackberry or windows mobile games, some demos and ones you pay for,... That's my guess.

I used to be all about the zune until I couldn't get my zune pass to work on 3 different computers. 3 Different computers, 3 different error messages. It's really a pain so I got an iPod. They've really improved with this generation of ipods, I love the new navigation and features. itunes just works and it's already ahead of zune. I just hate the clickwheel. Still, I've wasted about 50 dollars on zune since I bought 3 months of the zune pass but it won't work.

My second is a zune 80 red original no design on the back, that I will fix with something I'm working on, the wireless sync is sweet ,works with my notebook without any issues.

I'm in Canada so the zune pass is not supposed to be available in here, so the zune pass is not important to me at this time, although I do have access to it (wink,WinK) podcast works just as well.

Oh, without a doubt I'm going to get a zune, it's just a matter of time. I ordered a 30 gig off club live for free, and it should ship within the next few weeks... and then next november is my bday, and my parents told me I could get whichver zune I want, and since zune 1 was released nove 14(I think) and zune 2 nov 13(I think) then zune 3 should be around there to.. so it could work out great.

I'm a graphic /web designer, and with the amount of friends that I have who are programmers, it's going to be sweet creating games that can be deployed on all three platforms, maybe 4,xbox-zune-pc-phones.
