  • At 2:40 listen to "Fresh Garbage" by the band Spirit

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod Why? When I could be listening to Zeppelin. Honestly, do you know how many times I've heard the Heartbreaker, Rover, Lotta Love, Wanton Song "insert barely reworked Zep riff here" in somebody's else's song? Jesus, Jimmy and Bonzo have got to be some of the most sampled people in music. Get over it or become a lawyer and sue them, bitch.

  • @streetparade Chill out dude, just making an observation. I'm just saying that Spirit were a big influence on Zep. Couldn't have happened to a better band.

  • @67goldtops fuck you .... Because i think you ar a pom pus ass for actualy geting mad ovur sum speling airs.... Its the gundam enternet not scool you idiot.... Ther are no speling airs on the enternet you fool.... This is madness.....

  • @200665 people are taught the keyboard (typewriter), most are not taught... its called hunt and peck, an old expression from reporters back in the day. Anyway, doesnt mean they cant spell if you gave them a pen and paper. its all good... We can do without the grammar police. 99% of us really dont even notice the errors. 1% of you do. Not sure why it matters. We get the point of their post, which is all that matters. PEACE to all hunt and peckers. We want to hear ur thots. :)

  • Wow all this arguing over zepplin, spelling airs, and just downright BS ......what has this generation come to? I rocked out in my car to this song, beyond satisfied i went to leave a 5 star comment applauding something ive never heard from my favorite band..... And all i see all people nag nag nag nagging over stuff thats no where close to being as important as the music ever was and is today...... Im done guys..... Theres no hope....Its over..... Game over man

  • woah.

  • Hey mpcLZ1888,,,,, " Just shut the fuck up and listen to the best band ever" I take it your talking about Beiber,, you gay fuck boy!

  • i've no words

  • thank you mpc

  • 1969th of January, 2010?

  • Page playing a guitar with a bow is one of the most genius things ever conceived in the history of music.

  • I was blessed to be there that night

  • @gandalf3224

Lucky man. I have been there with you many times in my head while listening to this.

  • OMG! 'Ty kurwo' ('you whore' in polish) at the beggining XD

  • in the words of a great man (robert plant) "every body nicks it!"

in today's music world, i don't hear anything new. hell, they hardly even make new movies anymore. there are no more creative people left in this world. zeppelin always made a short song better and longer, and so much fuckin' better than any original. they were creative, smart, sexy, and will always be the BEST!!!

  • Best band ever.

  • Peter Grant also managed Jake Holmes so he knew Page and Plant did not write "Dazed and Confused" Somebody decided not to give the writer his due.

  • The first album was almost entirely cover songs. Jimmy Page did not give credit to the original song writers even when some could have been considered traditional if the original artists were not known. Some like Willie Dixon and Jake Holmes wrote those songs only a year or two before Led Zeppelin put their names on them. That is plagiarism, though I agree LZ made them iconic.

  • shut up you cunt we all knew that years a fucking go !!

  • @brenbaroque theives..i laugh when people compre this cover band to the Bestles or Stones. And yes we know thoses 2 bands covered songs when they were starting out and rock bands didn;t write songs yet/ So save that lame argument.

  • @45arther

    "The BESTLES"

Laugh my ass off. Hey, Dick-In-The-Mouth, save your cliched banter and get back to your Hooked On Phonics lessons. Before long you may even be able to spell COMPARE. Moron.

  • @67goldtops LOL. An idiot who goes online to find spelling mistakes.. Sounds like a good time, has alot to do with the argument.

Where do these idiots come from.

  • @45arther

To "find" spelling mistakes? When it comes to YOU, one doesn't have to FIND spelling mistakes. It's impossible to NOT find them in your silly posts. You chronic beatoff-artist. The BESTLES. Priceless.

  • @67goldtops to show what an idiot you are now you post your 2nd post about someone hitting an S instead of an A which of course are right next to each other..This stuff never happens to anyone. The Priceless thing is they are people that go on line looking for mistakes like this..

  • @45arther

Once again, I don't have to LOOK for it. It's like having to LOOK for the sky when you're outside. Stupidity cascades from your fingertips each time you post. LOOKING for it doesn't enter the conversation. For example, you just wrote...

"The priceless thing is they are people that go on line."

If you weren't an irretrievably dumb schmuck, you'd have written...

"The priceless thing is THERE are people..."

Oh, wait. You just his S instead of A again. Right?

  • @45arther those people are ALMOST as lame as the ones who go to certain videos for the sole purpose of leaving derogatory comments .

  • he was using the material as forms with which to evoke and pour forth energetic Expression

  • Even the original black American artists stole their songs from one another, but sometimes someone would do a definitive rendition & it would become recognized as "his" or "her" song. Many credited compositions were reworked tunes from older singers who never got recorded. We associate the song with whomever first recorded it, but it may in fact be a centuries old work song, or even an African tribal chant passed down. A lot of slave songs became Blues songs. Zep "stole" like all the "others."

  • @KingKook No shit, we all know this but also realize that the songs never sounded so good.

  • @storkfmny Your aggressive opinion is misdirected and unnecessary. I was giving a historical context to Zep's oeuvre, while you are spouting off like a snotty, tedious pussy. Good job.

  • @KingKook Re-read your post fool, you're the pussy sounding bratty little girl.

  • @storkfmny Am not!

  • @KingKook WOW WHAT A CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @KingKook I don't think it's called stealing. it's called a cover.

  • @300daysandnights An artist doesn't credit themselves as aa song's writer if they're doing a cover. Zep signed a lot of the songs they "covered" as though they wrote them. It's a minor, tedious distinction, but accurate and relevant.

  • @KingKook shouldn't they have then attributed the song to 'public domain'? I'm sure some IP attorneys can comment on this if they're reading this.

  • everyone plays everyones music. the only band that gets criticized is ZEP. Because they do it better than the original groups or person

  • @rossiscute35 No, they get criticized because Page copywrighted a lot of the stuff as original works and took full credit for things that he actually picked up from other musicians. The problem is with giving or not giving credit, not that he copied other musicians.

  • @mamacornettesmoney yes ross thats correct. you must know the history

  • no mówi "kurwa" heh

  • did he said kurwa at beginning?? LOL

  • please enjoy and have a little fun with the track

  • the best

  • These are gift's from the past, charish them.

  • I wonder is Trevor Rabin got his idea for "Owner of a Lonely Heart" from that riff in the middle of the song.

  • @funkyjones fuuuuckkk yeah !!!!!! i was thinking that but i didnt know the name of the song. i just remembered "Vive City" bt then i saw your comment XD if you did'nt put that up it probably wouldve driven me mad

  • @icthruu4evr Who is that? ...and what the heck does he have to do with The Zepp? oh, well... The Song Remains The Same. That tainted media gaga will never stain the legacy of this band. Thanks for this pure enjoyment.

  • All Youtube arguments in the comment sections are mostly composed of:

    a.) questioning someone's sexual orientation.

    b.) TERRIBLE spelling and grammar.

    c.) Justin Beiber.

Just shut the fuck up and listen to the best band ever.

  • @mpcLZ1888 c was reffering to b.

  • Comment removed

  • @mpcLZ1888 and

d.) people who feel the need to tell the arguers to shut up and usually including the word fuck for dramatic effect.

  • @jloveys cool

  • @mpcLZ1888 not rly.

  • @icthruu4evr you just do this to anger people here right?

and i have to say it is ridiculous how all people comment on bieber at songs of rock bands so giving them a good reason to write justin bieber sucks and all that stuff is quite nice of you

  • Do I hear Fresh Garbage, by Spirit, here?

  • @superormo Spirit? I gotta look them up!

  • @superormo I was gonna say that lol

  • @icthruu4evr sucks

  • @icthruu4evr dude...fuck off and dont start

  • @icthruu4evr first learn to write his name

  • I read Hammer of The Gods several times back in the 80s. An entertaining read, best taken with a healthy grain of salt. I wish Zep would have included this number on one of their albums.

  • They were the best in 69 and in 2010 that's all I need to know.......

  • Huge Zeppelin fan but I have to say that I think they ruined this song... but It isn't the best bootleg recording ever so maybe it sounds bad cos of that.... is that the riff from Fresh Garbage by spirit at the end?

  • Four ppl should go straigh to hell!

  • 4 fags who voted down, hope you burn in hades

  • Garnett Mimms, Spirit "Fresh Garbage" Chuck Berry. I saw them do this tune at the Filmore. My band did a pretty good cover of it in the early 70's I made a cassette of the entire performance on a cassette recorder. I have recently digitized the whole thing. A little better recording than this and complete. They started the show with Good times bad times. did some yardbirds, Beatles even here we go round the Mulberry Bush.

  • I'm reading "Hammer of the gods." I suggest you all read it..

  • @kevorules01 hammer was an attempt by davis to subtly slam the band while making a dirty dollar for himself.

  • @toolkien Okay? What makes you think i care? It's interesting so i will read it.

  • This sounds so fuckin JIZZY! AHHHHHH!!!

  • The White Stripes need to do this song.

  • From 2:42 on...very nce.

  • Thanks for this one...

  • i love it.....they only improvise stuff and dont give a shit, so gooood. modern bands could not even improvise like this in their dreams

  • Led Zepplin is the best blues band ever! I love how a white group took black music and made it better. They basically injected more soul into it!

  • The only theft Zep did is that they didn't credited the song to Dixon as well .And this stories about stealing riffs of older songs sorry but it's bullshit. You can't be accused of stealing another song while you borrowed a riff, then change the whole song not only notes sequence then adding a huge amount of power, musicianship, raw talented of how music can be played those days back and having a huge impact to all the bands trying to playing as Zep at least in 80's.my opinion.

  • they may have been successfully sued, but only because the state of the law didn't really take into account that the blues were an evolutionary process...riffs and phrases were used over and over again, and refined. you couldn't actually be a blues band unless you took part in that. That being said, "Whole Lotta Love" is miles ahead and almost totally unrelated to the early blues tunes it evolved from.

  • whoa 2:41 sounds a lot like the owner of a lonley heart riff LOL

  • @madbheaders123 It kind of sounds like that Pink song "Real Good Time". I know, god forbid I should compare the two, but definitely similar.

  • @madbheaders123 hmmmmmmm. Looks like another mystery, gang! Zeppelin's mysteriousness spawned newer rock and gave us what is in existence todayyyyyyyyyy. Zeppelin is the best.

  • take off your anoraks

  • ~~public domain ?? ~~

how would you like it if you wrote great music,

and someone called it ' public domain' ?

    maybe your a public ' dum-ass.

  • Zep (Page in particualr) were masters of musical theft...but u must remember that often it takes anothers original voice then adding your own spin to create or extend the life of such music. Picasso is famously quoted as saying he steels from others and makes it his own, and upon studying Picasso u c varied styles and visual voices, yet he had done just as he said...why re-invent the wheel, just use is better.... I think Zeppelin did this quite well...

  • there is nothing you can sing that has not been sung, all ya need is love

  • they are both good.. I doubt they would be for you taking sides like its some army when music is About love and coping with how violent the world is.. they are both part of the same song anyways..

  • @mickcooper73 you're shit mate

  • nah hendrix is , i rest my case

  • i rest my case that you're gay.

    end of.

  • hahaha man you got some issues against gay ppl? im not gay my self but so what if i was they are humans aswell you fuck face never judge gay people you never know what going to happen in the future im strait but i suport gay rights man , let the poor fuckers be , are you strait does anyone give you shit cause of that i dont think so right? so dont give them gays shit cause of their orientation man. now whos with me on this?

  • I do not care man, you are such an idiot lol, we have leaned over to talking about gays? what the hell man I dont give a shit about that, go cry some more this argument ended.

  • hahahah yea funny actually i aint cryin bud , but i was tryin to make a point ! and i actually dont thin hendrix is shit, my opinion is that pagey is better but then again that is me , i shouldnt have posted that in the first place ,

  • never judge guitarists they are humans aswell.

  • is that the best you got calling me a homosexual ? hahaha man ill tell you im strait engaged to a beatiful girl but that doesnot stop me from tell you that gay people are humans aswell so using gay as an insult is pretty lame , i suport gay right man theres nothing wrong with them gay fellows . im guessing you are ither denial or strait in itherways do gays give you shit for beein strait ? didnt think so , why would YOU give them gays shit cause of their orientation??

  • I didn't see any video, Did you? I ddn't think so...

  • they sure did tank god

  • @jokersgotu

Pretty funny but you're wrong. Puffed Daddy actually didn't write this song. I'm pretty sure P-Diddy got it from Moby!

  • moby got it from britney spears

  • silly bitch

  • This was right about the time their first LP came out. A musician friend on the East Coast had alerted me to Zep as he had seen them at Fillmore East and was blown away. I bought the LP, dropped a little .$#* (illegal substance) and was completely floored. Missed this performance in SF unfortunately. I like the "Fresh Garbage" riff.

  • i'd give your left nut to have been following this tour.

  • Well I think the blues covers worked in two ways, how well they could re invent classic blues songs with interesting improvisation and power, and then see if they could apply the same techniques to there own songs, which they did.

  • wat?

  • obvious troll is obvious

  • eat a sack of pricks

  • it must have been all a missunderstand. Everyone in that time made covers of blues, the rolling stones, the beatles, the yardbirds, the doors, jimi hendrix and led zeppelin for example. they were just beginning the band. After the 3rd album there werent many covers.

  • just feel the music.

  • Led Zeppelin is the best rock'n roll band in the world.

It's all i need to know.

  • @AsceticGold

Grand Funk Railroad was way more talented that this band between 1969-1973. Listen to their five first albums and you will be amazed how a power trio could outperform a 4-piece band. Fact: they were put off-scene by Peter Grant at a Grand Funk Railroad/Led Zeppelin show in America by shutting the power down because they were afraid of GFR's popularity.

  • @sinning1966 Grand Funk opened for Zep once, As soon as Zep came on Zep was boo-ed off stage cause people wanted more Grand Funk

  • @bobmango54 I think it's false, Bob. As the Grand Funk documentary (1996) stated, when GFR went on stage after the first part made by Led Zep, they were cut in-between their live performance by Peter Grant who forced Terry Knight to shut down the power during their concert because they were afraid of bad repercussions from the audience towards Led Zeppelin. Terry Knight had to announce the reason of the ending and soon after the audience boo-ed and ripped off the place.

  • @sinning1966 haha you are so fucking biased man. led zeppelin was the biggest band in the world for the entire decade of the 70s

  • @sinning1966 You had smoke or ?beacause LMAOOOOOOOO

  • @AsceticGold and its all i need to hear. hahaha

  • @AsceticGold HELL YES!!!!!

  • whenever I hear a Zep tune, I always wonder who originally wrote it; and I love Zep- it's not like they had to write the tune, they played the f out of it

  • Everyone agrees that credit should have been given. Do you think Ahmet Ertygen didn't know who wrote the songs? He got his start in blues and R&B. Maybe Page/Plant were told this is how we do things. Later in their career they started giving credit on re-issues and live when they introduced songs. Either from pressure or they didn't have to bow to the label. BTW - look at the Stones and Beatles first few albums. All covers. Any great band of that era starts with the blues. That's how you learn.

  • Robert blatantly lifted parts of old obscure blues tunes. Page only copped a few licks here and there, but all guitarists do that. Yes even the originals. By the time the tune got zepplinized,, it was largely unrecognizable, except for Roberts verbatim blues lyric heists! My take is so what, they settled and presumably paid off many of the "victims" and gave those old tunes exposure they would never have gotten. Page didnt cross the line, IMO. Robert did but its all good.

  • he didn't just pay he got sued theres a differences...whites are known for steeling shit then act like it theres

  • Plant never stole all the lyrics from an entire blues song, though. He was basically quoting parts of them as an homage of some of his favorite blues artists. Those famous blues phrases basically are public domain, since they were already so old and had been used over and over by so many singers by that point.

I think that was the point. He was referencing the blues, but in a brand new genre: Heavy Rock.

  • @dbonanno

Uh, no. Most of the Blues they covered were NOT public domain. Starting in 1973, Willie Dixon got a lawyer, sued, and won against Zeppelin. "I Can't Quit You", the music for "Whole Lotta Love" & several other songs were Dixon's. Atlantic Records simply did not pay the royalties on this material, and they were caught. Dixon took the money and set-up a music teaching studio in Chicago for kids who could not afford lessons otherwise.

  • @dbonanno It's a moot point. Nobody on the delta could play like Page or drum like Bonzo. The honest ones admitted as much.

  • @dbonanno ~ the problem with zepp was they were thrown together, got this huge signing bonus and were expected to perform and write after spending very little time together. they were playing a bunch of covers which heavily influenced the 1st two records written 9 months apart. by the third they found their own niche. they were successfully sued for stealing material. it's all good, everyone made money. it's part of their legend.

  • @tomitstube Although they were sued for the song Boogie with Stu on Physical Graffiti, they didn't exactly steal the material. The song was said to be originally by Ritchie Valens, but he passed away when they recorded the song. So to be nice they put "Mrs. Valens" as the original writer so Ritchies mother would get the money because she didn't have a lot of money...

  • @tomitstube ...Led Zep got sued anyway. But it was latter found out that Valen wasn't the original writer of the song, he covered it as well, but I can't remember who from. Anyway just though I'd tell you. Oh and Ian Stewart from The Rolling Stones was also on the track playing keyboard.

  • @68SSCAM ~ i actually didn't know about 'boogie with stu", i was referring to a large portion of their first two records where they wrote amalgrams of blues tunes and their own stuff. 'dazed and confused', 'whole lotta love', 'the lemon song', 'babe i'm gonna leave you' and the prelude to 'bring it on home'. zeppelin settled out of court on all these disputes. i was explaining the reasons they did this.

  • @dbonanno yeah, but he never said "i got this idea from so and so..." stevie ray vaughan always cited his influences.. that's homage to me.

  • @Bassist10288 ive heard him plenty of times say who it was he was using. when he played i cant quit you hes said somthing like this is a number from otis rush or somethin similar to tht

  • @dbonanno not true

  • What you r saying is absilutly correct, but think in this point:

If Plant was making an homenage to their favourite blues artists, WHY DIDN`T HE REFER THEM???

  • @KLthebig blame Page for that.

  • What do you mean?

  • @dbonanno yes exactly, i mean most of plants blues lyrics werent no lines taken from an whole song, it just were some cheesy blues lines everybody used.

  • @jamirosmajicrocks The problem was that Plant often took lines from the same song that Page had rearranged riffs/chords from older songs so it left them open to plagiarism suits.

  • Thats my birthday

  • led zeppelin overrated??are you fucking retarded?

  • didn't john lennon say that a cover is great as long as you change it to make it original??

  • "You only get caught when your successful, that's the game" -robert plant

  • uh that would be jpj

  • I just watched a video of Plant being interviewed saying they got their tastes in music from the likes of Leadbelly and the black american south, which i have known all along since first listening to zepp back in the mid 70's. It's all good..BB King, Muddy Waters and even quite a few rockers cover songs from others, as long as they do it justice.. i have no probs . tired of hearing zepp stole songs from other bands. heck.. Page and JPG did movie soundtracks. have to give credit where its due

  • ZEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!~

  • no one heard of the songs zep stole until

they bought millions of Zep records

  • hey.. news flash... most blues/country bands cover every one else's songs...since when is that something new? Zepp did teh same, but wrote their own as well, and did alot of covers a whole lot better then the original writers.

  • It's true, Zeppelin were an amazing outfit. The only thing I will say against them is they were one of the few blues bands that didn't give the proper credit to the original artists. Page wanted everyone to think he wrote songs like Dazed and Confused and Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, which is quite a slap in the face to the real writers.

  • at least form your own opinion and not what you've heard other people say...fuck...I've heard the same comment over and over again

  • If that's not my opinion then why don't you just tell me how I feel about the band? Moron.

  • babe i'm gonna leave you is a traditional song, it's not stolen from joan baez or anything. but ya dazed and confused was taken from another artist, except the words were completely made up by Page

  • Page never wanted everyone to think he wrote songs like the ones you mentioned. Don't pull shit from your ass and actually read something about him.

  • He either wanted people to think he wrote them, or for some reason he believed he wrote them. Why else would he give himself the writing credits?

  • Oh really? Did he tell you that? Do you personally know him? Nope. The band credited Babe I'm gonna leave you as "Trad., arr. Page". That is not crediting Page as writing the song. And it wasn't until the 1980s that she sued. Why? For MONEY. And as for Dazed And Confused, he did write the lyrics, and changed enough of the song for it to be considered original. Thats why there was no law suit against it. So maybe read before you talk, thanks, bye.

  • 'Babe" was at one time credited as "words and music by Page". Most of the credits you read today are the result of a lawsuit. These aren't the only two songs. There are a handful of songs that were once credited to Page that are now credited to some combination of other people, since Page had a habit of stealing multiple songs and mixing them together. Now why would a person say they wrote a song they didn't write? Can you think of a reason other than the two I gave? I didn't think so.

  • Babe I'm Gonna Leave You was credited as Trad., arr. Page in the 1969 album 'Led Zeppelin. It never changed until the greedy bastard sued in 1980 and the credits changed in 1990 to Anne Bredon/ Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Can you think of any other reason why would anyone sue DECADES after the release other than for many? I didn't think so. Like I said before, Jimmy Page has addressed this in numerous interviews, which is why in the first place I said you should read more before you pull shit..

  • The other members always talked about how Page was such a good business man and that if he didn't hit it big with music he would have been the richest man alive. He did anything he could to make (or save) that one extra buck, especially in the early days when they weren't big yet... Have you ever noticed that Led Zeppelin are the only ones accused of plagarism? Why? Because they are the greatest band of all time. What about Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones,Bon Jovi, Cream and John Mayor?....

  • Because its music. People like you are too stupid to realize that in the end its just music. Music is always being reinvented and re imagined. It doesn't matter who wrote it, it matters that somebody took the time to make it their own and give their own spin on the song. And thats the beauty of music. Anyways, no need to respond to this, I think you pretty much lost haha :)

  • You completely misunderstood the point. We're not talking about whether it's okay to cover songs or re-imagine music. You're getting too invested in this conversation and you're losing sight of what we were talking about in the first place, which was, is it okay to cover songs and pretend they're your own? You can have your own opinion on that point, but I think you'll be hard pressed to find others that would say it was okay.

  • Just because a person wants credit for work they performed doesn't make them a greedy bastard. If you wrote a song, and then Jimmy Page started performing it and saying it was his, I seriously doubt you can honestly say you would just let him have it without giving you royalties or at least giving you the proper credit for writing it. A group like Cream did amazing covers, but it was pointless to bring them up, because if you'll notice, they're extremely good about crediting the original artists

  • I said Page wanted everyone to think he wrote the songs. You said there was another reason. Money. He was trying to keep the royalties. That sounds likely, but it doesn't change the fact that he still wanted people to think the songs were his, even if it was just for the money. It doesn't make it any better, and I'm sure it doesn't provide any relief to the original artists. I guess I just lost this one, right? Don't put on the big boy pants if you can't fill them out. Say what?

  • Lol. Again you seem to fail to actually READ my comments. You are just ASSUMING that Page wanted people to think it was his song when I have shown you quotes of him saying the opposite and others as well. Credits have nothing to do with actually writing a song. Elvis got co-writing credits on 90% of his songs. Why? Because of a fucking contract. You just keep saying the same thing over and over. Get some new facts bro, you'll never win an argument with one thing to say. I'm ripping you apart....

  • ..in this. It's actually kind of embarrasing. By the way, that faggot racist Eric Clapton has had numerous songs where he never credited original writers, so nice try on that one. So yeah, nice try kid. Better luck next time I guess. Like I said before, maybe you should pick an argument about something you actually know something about, like sucking dick. Haha. well thanks for the laugh! Have a nice life, peace.

  • Zeppelin was an amazing group, and often times their covers were better than the originals, but it doesn't change the fact that Page is somewhat of a song thief. You still haven't mentioned why Page would credit himself as the writer if he didn't want people to think he wrote the songs. Your idea that he would credit himself as the originator without the intention of making people think he wrote the songs is ridiculous and illogical. It has no basis in fact.

  • Your one argument you're dangling from is that it was done out of Ignorance. Either Page knew too little about giving credit or too little about the music to provide proper writers on the album. Some of the songs he took were from musicians he knew in person and had toured with. And he certainly knew enough to put his own name on the sleeve as the writer. How ignorant do you think he'd have to be to record a song by someone he knew in person, and accidently put his own name on the record sleeve?

  • Lol. You are so funny. What songs did he "steal" that he knew the original writers? The intro to Stairway sounds similiar to a song Taurus or something. But if you knew anything about credits you would know that an intro riff doesn't need to be credited. It isn't lyrics. Any others? Didn't think so fucker. Can you show me songs where PAGE and not PLANT took an entire set of lyrics and credited to PAGE? Didn't think so. Learn something about the blues. You always take lines from other artists.

  • Maybe you think he'd been playing the songs for so long he forgot he didn't write them? Or maybe he hit his head and couldn't remember who wrote them, so he just put his own name down as a place holder. Or maybe Page wrote them as a baby, and the old blues musicians actually stole the songs from HIM. Seriously, what other ridiculous idea are you going to come up with next? I could use a laugh.

  • Its just zeppelin got so much bigger than the poor black bluesmen that they got jealous and tried to make as much money as possible off them. Again you bring nothing new to the argument and fail to prove anything.

  • So you're still sticking with the idea that Page didn't know he was putting his name on songs he didn't write? Despite the fact that he was taking songs and arrangements from contemporary musicians he should have been aware of, like Jake Holmes, or the fact that he was a blues aficionado who probably knew more about the blues musicians he was lifting from than most people. Let's just think about how ridiculous that idea is.

  • And if a person writes a hit song, they deserve a share of the royalties. It doesn't make them greedy. Seriously though, this conversation is getting out of hand. Your comments are so ludicrous they don't even require a response anymore, so this will be the last time I entertain you. But by all means, continue to spout your ridiculous arguments.
