OK lets count the number of passes he makes a year - he goes to 4-6 ihra races and never qualifies. So there is 18-20 runs and a few of these races. My calculations he makes 30 runs a year - we do that in a month down here in our quick 8 stuff - and all of our guys are only a few hundreds behind him at 4.05-4.10 in the 1/8 with an automatic. So keep your mouth shut dickhead because you LIKE JOHN don't have a clue !!!

He ran pro mod in the late 90's. He is mainly a local racer who really never makes an impact at any race. Either does not qualify or loses first round every race he enters. Has always been a number 14-22 qualifier - someone should smack him in the head and tell him to stop wasting his money because he is always a tenth + slow. There is a reason we have other classes - run top sportsman and get off the soapbox. After all wrecking 2 cars by locking the breaks in both get old - no ???

very common for oil to be coming out of the breather a bit - reason for the rag. We all have that. Good theory but it had nothing to do with it.

It was driver error and the brakes were locked. Everyone should get rid of those garbage launcher chutes and carbon brakes. Here is the exact reason why !!

Looking at my pictures from the night before this run... I now remember seeing OIL that had blown out of Bartunek's Breather(for dry sump), getting OIL on the top p/s of his radiator and hose, and a little oil mist on a hose and part of the frame tubing. He had a rag strapped over the breather and it was soaked with oil. I saw someone wipe it off and walk away. It is just in front of and to the inside of the right front tire/brake rotor!...HMMMM...??!!

I was in the shutdown area doing chute shots when it happened. I am the last person in the shutdown area in the right lane. Chutes got tangled in the wheelie bars then it was classic carbon fiber rotor lock up. Have seen this same situation with two top sportsman cars at our home track.

no was not the track at all !! How is it the track in the shutdown area ??? The brakes were locked plain and simple - happens to many people in cars like that - and pro stock car too.

Pretty violent crash from the looks of it. Glad he is ok but just another bad job of hitting the brakes to hard!!! We were right on the return road and they saw him lock them up - sucks. Are people ever gonna learn about chutes and just run the normal ones - no lauchers or that crap. He also crashed his pro stock car years back by locking the brakes in the lights.
