  • Song at 4:10 ?

  • I have an old live bootleg of Machine Gun (The best one!) and your demo is closer to it than the album version. You really completed my trip, Andy. Thank you.

  • @pangborn25

I HAVE THAT DEMO TOO! :D

  • Wow you made this pedal sound awesome. Why doesn't anybody use univibe anymore?

  • some early floyd in there ya? saucerful of secrets

  • last riff if anyone is wondering, here are the notes: A#, c, d, g, A# A#..., g, and on, then some screwing around with those notes, then the chords he play are G chord and C chord. just the basics here guys, did this by ear in like 2 minutes so if its off dont get mad

  • WHATS THE SONG AT 4:10 ????????

  • Far out! That is some nice playing!

  • omg, the last riff is sick!!

  • THUMBS UP FOR 'SET THE CONTROLS TO THE HEART OF THE SUN'

  • A great looking and sounding pedal! For sure.

  • Just bought this pedal. Immediatly figured out some Robin Trauer bridge of sighs, just from memory. This pedal literally gave me chills. so bada**! Where do I click 'LIKE' at?

  • uhm sorry to ask this bu t I am quite a noob with fx pedals and I'm not an english speaker so I missed a thing: how do you set the speed of the effect? by pressing and depressing the upper part of the pedal like you would do with a standard wah?

thanks! your videos are the reason why I have little social life (damn you!)

    Marco

  • @frenzexperiment the effect increases by pushing the pedal down

  • Will this work for bass too?

  • is the guitarist who played the solo at the beginning is a bonamassa fan, cuz it sound a lot like his style

  • whats the song at 4:20 ????

  • @AviatorAndyK guess who-these eyes ???

  • set the controls for the heart of the sun?

  • The Dunlop Rotovibe is no where near this pedal for a "true" univibe sound or in terms of build quality. Rotovibe has a nice unique sound though.

  • MACHINE GUN!!!

  • This thing is like $80 more than a Dunlop Rotovibe! Sorry, but no sale guys!

  • set the controls for the heart of the sun....

  • set the controles for the heart of the sun!!!!!! @2:50

  • Can this pedal run on batteries?

  • @tomattah No it can't run on batteries.

  • Right-on Stratman69!

  • EPIC INTRO

  • the vintage mode sounds way better than modern... awesome pedal none the less

  • god that opening tone is sickness

  • What is the difference between the Mini and the older one that Trower and SRV used?

  • Best bang for the buck, what would you guys recommend? MDV or the Dunlop Rotovibe?

  • How about doing a Variphase demo next?

  • Smooth pedal

What is the name of the Pink Floyd song?

  • @Frillkrydder

Set the controls for the heart of the sun ;)

  • Set the controls for the heart of the sun...

    The heart of the sun..

    The heart of the sun..

  • the first opening part of this review was machine gun by jimi right?

  • Holy Mole' Heaven's Vibe is the Best!!

  • The best demo videos on You Tube. . thanks!

  • Wait, was that Guided by Voices?! -E

  • Love the univibe sound, but as it has a vibrato switch, can it also do a convincing fulltone supa-trem impression? Would save me money if it did both :)

  • Sounds cool, but not like an original Univibe.

  • Own it, beautiful pedal, impeccable tone, gorgeous design, every second pedal oversuses the 'built like a tank' phrase, however this pedal could probably have a car drive over it and sustain minimal damage.

  • how is this compared to the Voodoo Lab Univibe? they essentially have the same effect right?

  • Meh - was expecting better

  • MUST.... HAVE !!

  • ur the man! u have helped me refine my sound watching your vids, and from one guitar player to another......i envy your smooth hands :)

  • Set the Control's for the heart of the Sun! Nice one Andy!

  • I wonder if there is any difference at all between this and the non-treadle version - both have the same speeds? I think I may like the latter version as it is able to be set to a specific speed ahead of time.

  • @noslen1968 the circuits are exactly the same, just one has the foot treadle. This one would be better if you want to be constantly adjusting the speed to give some different effects to various notes. Zakk Wylde does that with his Dunlop Rotovibe,

It's all just personal preference really

  • The first 45 seconds, made me lose my breath and 300 bucks .

That is BY FAR THE best uni-vibe tone I ever heard.

    WOW.

  • fucking god sounds like Hendrix IOW concert stuff really cool (Machine gun)

  • gee, i thought it sounded pretty damn good!

  • how do you guys manage to make all the cool pedals sound like mud butt?

  • @animalmother4 - It's our particular brand of genius. Thanks for watching!

    -PGS Crew

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos nice haha

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Haaa ha ha ha. I like these kinda answers, very funny. Your video's rocks btw. Thanks, Bless you guys.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Mud Butt never sounded so good!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos what distortion are you using in this demo? Sounds beautiful :D

  • Comment removed

  • @animalmother4

this sounds great..... no mud on my system

  • @animalmother4 your mom sounds like mud butt!

  • So, WHAT is the signal path in the first 40 seconds??? Was that ever answered? That's THICK.

  • @fcboonedog We honestly don't remember, either a MI Audio Neo Fuzz or MJM London germanium. Thanks!

    PGS

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Great!! Was the fuzz put before or after the MDV-2? I would guess it was before...

    Thanks!!

    Ron

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos so its not a wah

  • Hey man, what pedals are you using at the intro of this video?(0:18-0:44) Is that a fuzz mixed with the dejavibe? If so, what fuzz are you using?

  • what's the diference between rotovibe and mdv-2?

  • @blackzenode i was thinking the same thing...

  • @matthew909 trust me this sounds better...the rotovibe is a joke

  • @blackzenode MDV-2 is better, and has modern/vintage switch

  • Machine Gun!! Best riff at the end of a song ever.

  • Great sound! Is there a fuzz in front of the Deja Vibe? Thanks for the reviews, been very helpful!!

  • Hello ! Does somebody know what s the song at 4 05

    I really like it. Thanks.

  • Hello ! Does somebody know what's the song at 4:05 ? I really like it. Thanks !

  • @ThePafus I don't remember if it's 4:05, but there's some Pink Floyd's "set the controls for the heart of the sun" in the video

  • @rapamisc The pink floyd song is around 2:50. Thanks for your help anyway ! ;-)

  • From :08 to :40 what's the fuzz you are using and is it before or after the vibe? Thanks!

  • From :08 to :40 what's the fuzz you are using and is it before or after the vibe? Thanks!

  • Which pedal for dirt in the beginning?

  • Really Nice !!! Plz tell me ...about Middle frequences, the pedal cut mid frequences when on??

    Thx

  • what is the point of the rocker on this pedal?

does it control the intensity or the speed?

  • @Minispooner18 It controls the speed like the original UniVibe. There is an intensity knob on the side of the pedal.

  • do you get them with just a knob??

like is there one without a rocker?

  • @Minispooner18 There is the Mini Deja Vibe (not 2). It is just a stomp box. You might also look at the MJM Sixties Vibe.

  • Speed

  • I had the dunlop this one sounds better gas is coming. I checked out the pickle but this might be the one.

I rarely buy anymore unless I really dig it. This dejavibe and the lovepedal provalve 2 would be a sweet combo for now.

The fender hotrod deluxe's tonality in the OD range is kinda bizar. After playing a tiny terror and modded marshalls from the 70s it falls short of grail tone.

  • What's that song at 4:05? Fantastic

  • set the controls for the heart of the sun :-)

I love this pedal, it's great

  • This design is stupis because now every time you switch it on you mess up your speed setting.

  • @StefanPriceUK

    same as the original univibe...

  • @StefanPriceUK who cares, you don't like have to bend over and use your hand, you just need your foot!

  • maybe if you werent a retard, youd notice that the switch is at the heel, not the toe. its the opposite of a wah

  • whats the song at 2:23 ?

    thanks

  • set the controls for the heart of the sun pink floyd

  • what's the song at 2:20

  • God that sounds awesome

  • just got one of these today.great tone.THE best investment I've made in terms of efects.

  • I just put a down payment one of these baby's.

I demo'd it in the shop and it had that big spoon stirring lava sound that I love in Trower and Hendrix.

the pedal was super smoothe. can't wait to get my hands on it and plug into my also newly ordered Octavio and Dunlop JH-1B wah. you only go around once so what the hell, I love this kind of sound.

    thanx for the nice demo.

  • set the controls for the heart of the sun. ah ahhhh ah ahhh ah.

  • So I have a question. I'm a guitarist and am looking into using vibe pedals. I mainly play with humbucker guitars and I hear from many that a vibe won't work with a humbucker equipped guitar. I want to know is this true or just pruist drivel? Do I have to use a Strat or not? Also, would it work if my guitar were installed with a coil tap so I can switch between the two and not have to worry about switching guitars? Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

  • MegaTronn, sounds like someone is trying to sell you a single coil guitar! Buckers work just fine with Uni-Vibe type effects. But just like any effect, with high gain distortion, even EQ has little effect.

  • The pedal will work with any electric guitar, regardless of pickups. You should totally get a Strat, though - they're fantastic instruments.

  • I hate strats

  • They ain't for everybody, it's true. Harder to play but worth the effort, imho.

  • Why oh why?

  • @GuitarBrotha

    They hate you too.

  • usually les paul players don't like strats because sloppy fingering is pronounced not muddied into sounding like your playing fast or sweeping.

  • @BryanSmith66 Dude, you're pretty wrong, here. Most serious guitarists who lean toward more "traditional" guitars, ie. not crazy BC Rich's or angry-looking Dean metal monsters, usually have at least one Strat AND a Les Paul, because of their vast ranges in tonality.

  • Wrong. Many serious guitarists own at least one of each.

  • hey humbuckers work, but they are not as bright as a single coil, also most people who like uni-vibe tones usually like strat tones, but if you have a coil tap you should be fine. I can send you a demo on my deja-vibe if you want.

  • i feel like the mdv-2 ,even though it probably has the same guts as the mdv-1,sounds alot thinker and more of a pulse.

  • what distortion were you using at the beginning?

  • What song does andy play between 3:26 and 4:00? During the demonstration of the vibrato mode. It's quite beautiful.

  • I shall be released ... I think and just before Set the controls for the heart of the sun

  • the problem i have with fulltone vibe's is, mike fuller stated that the vibe trower uses is different, it's much thicker sounding, in fullers own words, LIKE A THICKER SOUP!!!! then after sales dropped he wound his neck in and said all vibes from here on will sound like trower's ie thicker... but come on!!! does a fisherman EVER tell you what bait he uses?? NO!!!clapton sig strats are £1.500 but the strats clapton uses are £15.000.. don't be fooled folks...

    Good demo though, as always....

  • i "borrowed" a dunlop vibe from a friend, and its just terrible. It rapes your tone, makes it thin and terrible.

this on the other hand, sounds AMAZING

  • This is the best Vibe on the market today. Run it with a fuzz and it's dripping, creamy goodness. If you push your amp into saturation with this in front of it, well, it's too good to describe.

  • am I the only one who did Buddy Miles Harmonizing with Machine gun in the beginning? lol. This pedal sounds amazing

  • What distortion are you using at the beginning or is that natural overdrive?

  • A dear friend (and tone connoisseur) saw Robin Trower live a few weeks ago and said THIS IS what he now uses for his luscious vibe tone. He said he sounded amazing with it.

  • This is what Robin Trower uses now. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for anybody. Period.

  • Can't argue with that!!!!!!!!

  • @StratmanSixtyNine he uses the deja vibe 2 that's not produced anymore, not the MINI deja vibe 2 =)

  • @StratmanSixtyNine It is the best of heard of all of them, I can hear characteristics of the original univibe. Unfortunately the price is hard to swallow.

  • Perfect for EVERYTHING!!!!

  • é um excelente pedal, mas o musico que está testando o pedal precisa ter mais conhecimento sobre o assunto. não se abre um potenciômetro até o fim.é lamentavel.

  • ahhh set the controls for the heart of the sun

  • Hi Andy!

My question is if the Mini Deja Vibe 2 can be power by Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus or the pedal need a special power adapter?

  • Yes, a standard 9v adaptor will work fine.

  • @Edgardo1978Music I talked to Fulltone and you need at least 130 ma or you wont get the best sound. So for the PP2+ you need 5 or 6 non switched.

  • NICE CHOPS there in the begining

  • breath.... breath in the air...

    don't be afraid to care...

although we should set the controls for the heart of the sun

  • leave... don't leave meee

look around... choose your own ground

  • run, rabbit, run......

  • All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be.

  • the opening riff is like if hendrix did a cover of no quarter by led zeppelin

  • It's not Zeppelin, it's 'Machine Gun' by Hendrix with the Band of Gypsys.

  • im not crazy about the whole heel swith. for that reason i think id raher have to first mini deja vibe. does anyone have this and know sturdy that switch is?

  • i just got this yesterday and the switch is my only concern. it seems like its only weakness but i like the foot speed control and the deja 2 didnt sound as good as the mini deja so time will tell i guess..

  • . . .WANT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think I should buy this!!!:)

  • Perfect for pee-wee...hee-hee

  • The best univibes on the market today are: Effectrode Tube Vibe and the KR Megavibe. Fulltone sounds good but not like those.

  • I really wanted the KR megavibe, but when your on a waiting list for almost a year and get yelled at for asking how much longer you kinda get turned off. I waited a year for the kr and yesterday i went down to my local music store and bought this fulltone one. Its a great pedal and sounds fantastic. anyone whose interested i recommend doing the same thing

  • into the heart of the sunnnn!!!

  • perfect for ALL!!!!!

  • hi, Andy, what's the song played in the last bit of the demo (volume knob roll test)?

    BTW, great demo as always

  • just be careful if you use humbuckers. at least burstbuckers. trying it with my Gibson les paul 59' VOS there is some pretty nasty clipping. not enough to stop me from buying it, just more suited to single coils, as with pretty much every pedal.

  • I've had mine for over a month and i love it! It's my first vibe and a lot more subtle than I expected, but with a little tinkering it works great!

  • over the rainbow... watching the watcher...!

    great..!!!!

  • set the controls....

for the earth and the sun...! superb!

  • Yeah!!

    sounds great...

where in Toronto, Canada can I get one of these.

    Be well, happy, and peaceful.

    Bela Ray

  • i have been reading up on it and what is the difference between the mini deja vibe 2 and the deja vibe 2. i can't find anythign about how they are different exept $30 price difference and different color and body shape?

  • The MDV2 is smaller and has the relay switch in the heel instead of a stompswitch. It's also going to replace the larger size anyway.

    PGS

  • is this for only tube amps?

  • nope. but as with all pedal its sounds better with a tube amp

  • it seems brighter than mdv

  • Comment removed

  • just a wild guess, but maybe because the name says "mini", it might be a little smaller...

  • whats the difference between this and the deja vibe 2?

  • ok so i want one of these immediately...

  • Perfect for Hendrix!!

  • Perfect for Pink Floyd!!

  • Perfect for Nick Seckler!

  • Perfect for Eric Clapton

  • Perfect for Fall Out Boy!

  • you are fucking hilarious

  • Hahah

  • Perfect for Jimi Hendrix

  • Perfect for Zakk Wylde!!!

  • Perfect for The Jonas Brothers!

  • YEAAHH!!

  • NOOOO!!

  • i really hope your not serious

  • dude, have some balls, fuck the jonas brothers.

  • Been waiting for this one! Thanks guys!

  • I think you guys should demo some more MXR pedals! I love the sound of this pedal though.

  • Set the controls for the heart of the sun

  • This is a nice product. The Uni-Vibe was the first pedal I ever purchased. This adds some nice features.

  • i have the deja`vibe one i guess..its the same pedal, but it doesnt have the foot pedal and it isnt stereo..but for around $150 less than this one..its great
