This is one of 3 songs on "the fall" i am not so fond of. The other 2 being "young blood" a song that has lyrics, and vocal IMO that is too hurried and rushed. And "stuck" which does not make sense, and the singer seems rushed and strained. I do like em, but they are not a patch on the other songs. Stand out gem being "Its gonna be" even know Norah cant nail the vocal as she does in the studio version.

I've heard this rhythmic device used before but it is very cool. The strong accent is on the & of 1. When that is the first pulse you hear it jerks your ears around when the 2 and 4 are finally stated. I love this song and production. As a drummer I'd rather play this than tons of fills. It is all about feel. By the way I believe the famous James Gadson played on the session.
