  • kofi annan is a he, not a she. but needless to say, wouldnt you think that the secretary general of the un would know if iraq violated any un resolutions or not?

the un is not an independent organization, it's the united nations. you know most of the world sees it as an illegal war. usa is the one committing a violation by invading iraq. you know how to fix the mideast? look at the ppl from tunisia and egypt. you see, they can fix their own country by themselves, no need for us troops.

  • the right wing in america labeled this movie as being "anti-american" and "anti-war".

that kind of means that the term "pro-america" is side by side with the term "pro-war".

    lol.

  • i saw the movie and i gotta say i believe all of it was conspired to manipulate the American people for economic gain.

  • Well, it is a film that really isn't about anything new. I liked it.

  • Wow voltaire wanna beeeees!

  • Y u can Dwnlad in really great quality just Search Google for 'TheNewsBuzz" its there

  • All of you fools get caught up in the argument of left vs. right...when the problem that Washington (LEFT AN RIGHT) lied the world to start a war and secure the price and flow of oil! As you all argue of which side is more guilty (left vs. right) both sides are gettting away with the greatest war crime of the 21st century!!!

  • The saddest thing is that everyone is too busy withe their lives workings as slaves to pay off their credit card debts that nobody cares. So in reality it's not just Washington getting away with this crime, is all of us... We all are involve in the killing of more than 600,000 civilian Iraqis. You and I, and everyone that has been a passive observant of this war are as guilty as the elites ripping off the oil benefits, or the American soldiers raping innocent women. It happened in our watch.

  • @mujerazteca

I wonder is the what it was like as Rome fell. Rampant immoralilty, rampant corruption, and the indefference to those who suffer under control! Not to mention the hatred for those who fight back! I wonder if this is how Rome expreinced their fall!!!

  • @mujerazteca As long as you spread the truth, you are fighting the corruption that stains this world. Spreading honest information about the immoral elites means you are not in anyway a passive observant. What you think everyone should just forget about the fact that they have a family to feed and go to war against the government?

  • @dex1142 Oil is what Cotton, and Sugar once was. The commodity that the world elites thrive off of. Sugar and Cotton was one of the main reasons for slavery. They needed the free labor to ensure Gross profits. Now they need the oil to ensure the value of the dollar. And they have the monopoly on the dollar since they create it out of thin air(FED Reserve) Its one of the main reasons why they depict the Arab as a hostile in their propaganda reels.

  • @Shawneha I know!!! So many people blame Islam, muslims, Arabs, Americans, or Christianity..........yet all of this hatred and violence is led simply by greed. Greed of the few that cons the masses into fighting each other on their behalf.......yet we never see the elite dying on the battlefield. Whether you follow Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Shiva, Marx, or Mao.....the elite controlling the masses never turns out good!!

  • @dex1142 The Arabs are not as willing as others to submit to the unchecked power of the elites. So, they villify them daily in news reels so you look less of them as humans and more of them as barbaric terrorist. This Power Establishment in Washington is only doing what they do best and that is Divide and Conquer

  • Agreed.

Also, NCfag here, it was funny... when in the beginning of the movie they were talking about all the WMD sites being empty, about five people got up and left when that was said, all of them white and old.

    I lol'd.

(ps, I am white also. Don't start with the racist shit.)

  • The CIA Debunked the false Intel about WMD before the war started....it was Bush Cheney and the NEOCONs that forced the false Intel on to Colin Powell and the Congress...which led to the U.S. invasion

The Niger Uranium shipments & WMD were never real from day one...

The NEOCONS that started this are now working on promoting the next war Iran...

    Its never going to stop....

  • I guess all this Damon-haters can't stand to hear the truth even when it's right in their face. Sarah Palin was (and still is) a disaster as was the Iraq War and I don't know how anyone could argue otherwise.

The only parrots I've heard are republicans or people who claim to be republican that just recite whatever ignorant, racist,or idiotic thing they hear from Fox news.

I saw this movie and really enjoyed it because it was a really good thriller and not because of it's political stance.

  • @kfw9257

This movie did a good job portraying government disagreement and disorganization in the opening stages of the Iraq War. I believed the movie was great until it panned out to the Iraqi oil fields. I just wanted to make it clear that the Iraq War was not motivated by oil. All Iraqi oil wells belong to the Iraqi people. However you may feel free to question China and India about trying to get their hands on Iraqi oil.

  • @phlyegles43 so naive. why do you think there were huge disagreements within the american government? because it was a question of morality. was this war justified? why did they make up the story of wmds then? for the sole reason that they wanted saddam out? why did they want saddam out? why did they want to replace a pro-american puppet to lead iraq?

now you're questioning china and india lol. all they did to get iraqi oil was go in there with a pen and paper, like what normal countries do.

  • @M3diaCultur3

They did not make up the of the matter of Weapons of Mass Destruction. They believed this because Saddam himself said so in fear of Iran. There were multiple Weapons of Mass Destructions found, just not massive stockpiles. We truly believed there were some weapons stockpiled somewhere. When we didn't find the massive stockpiles the media took over. But to say Iraq was not a just cause because we did not find these weapons in inaccurate. We own none or Iraq's oil

  • @phlyegles43 honestly, you really believe that senior officials in the white house didnt know that there were no wmds? thats hard to imagine. some truly didnt know, especially the ground forces that were senselessly sent there, but thats what's so stupid about this war. not to mention, it's downright illegal. americans were the ones who kicked wmd-inspectors out too.

even if iraq did have wmds, so what? who were they threatening? why doesnt the u.s invade russia and china. they have plenty of it

  • @M3diaCultur3

I believe that some senior officials were not sure. I believe that we just were over arrogant and decided as long as we were in the middle east we might as well as take care of a country that did break UN resolutions created after the First Gulf War cease fire. Iraq broke nearly every resolution, these actions would discontinue the cease fire and allow continual military action. Not illegal. The only thing I disagree with is the timing and planning of OIF.

  • @phlyegles43 even the UN secretary at that time, kofi annan, said the iraq war is illegal.

    jeez.

  • @M3diaCultur3 Of course, the United Nations would rather do nothing. Kofi Annan may say it's illegal but she should look at the resolutions the United Nations passed ten years ago after the First Gulf War.

  • This movie reopens the almost healed scab of deception covering the gaping hole flesh wound created by the Bush NeoCon War machine.

Good Job Matt!!! You are a modern John Wayne!

Hollywood should now make a movie about how the NeoCons in Washington will fool us again into attacking Iran, without a single Israeli casualty...

The last time they did that the movie was called "Wag the Dog"

  • Matt Damon - war profiteer. Hey Matt, how many millions did you make off of each dead solider?

  • this is another war as enterprise and national idenitity movie. NPR and PBS are promoting it so heavily, it's practically the only icon on NPRs website.

the one news source that's supposedly "public radio" but has nothing but huge corporate sponsors and where practically every show promotes the next invasion: iran.

  • Ha Matt Damon, you are nothing more than a parrot parading around as a human. You make your living parroting what people want you to say - and not only do you bash Gov Sarah Palin and America as a whole, you're new movie crashed and burned this weekned. Suck it up fella.

  • read a people's history of the us. damon does the audiobook.

  • I enjoyed Bourne greatly, but I am tired of the Iraq conspiratorial bullshit. These America haters are sickening, they have Americans applauding a bunch of Sunnis shutting down an American chopper full of marines. Matt Damon is a great actor, but he's a moron when it comes to politics. Holywood is still trying to bend people's minds against conservative thought and they're still failing.

  • You're so correct! Hey!, I'm no expert on any of this and I love Matt's acting. Goodwill will probably always be my favorite. But damn if I'm not sick of Hollywood actors and their politics.

  • Movie was very very very GREAT!!! I recommend seeing it!

  • rlly good movie

  • really really interesting movie and shows how good matt damon is as an actor also the story was interesting an topic with all the problems Iraq has been for the us - watch it now latest Release movies -dot --com

  • If you're a crazy lefty and love gay marriage and believe Obama is the Messiah then you will fall in love with this movie and Matt Damon.

  • @zzap999 I got gay married like 3 times yesterday.

  • @zzap999 it would help if you would do some research before speaking out of your ass...

  • Want to know whe the REAL culprits are behind the Iraq war? copy, paste & Google the search string below...

sembler ledeen Iran-Contra CIA Franklin phase2

  • had it been called "cheney's pork products zone" i would be less likely to think this is just more war enterprise via a different venue.

  • @mysticgirl1000 Why don't you do your research. Halliburton's deals with the government were made in the early nineties. And they lost money on the ones that kciked in as a result of the Iraq War, and knew they would if the USA went to war. Those contracts favored the government not Halliburton--otherwise, there would have been a huge congressional outcry.

  • green sone?

  • 0:19 'the truth is, today's facts are tomorrow's fiction' ? God what a load of Bullshit , i gotta love the melodrama. Today's facts are not tomorrows fiction. Not if they are facts mate.

  • @robi2000 His quote refers to the WMD thought to be in Iraq. What the U.S. govt tried to establish as fact (the existence of WMD) according to their intelligence was actually political fiction. Just like europeans once thought the earth was flat. What's interesting to the director is the process in which generally accepted "facts" are disproven, it makes an interesting movie.

  • @Robi2000: It was once a fact for more than half of the 20th century that Pluto was indeed a planet that was included in our solar system.

Is Pluto still considered a planet amongst our solar system? (No.)

Ergo, yesterday's fact is indeed today's fiction, lest you forget the Catholic church haranguing and repudiation of Galileo theories.

  • At times it does seem like the movie industry makes money off the deaths of innocent civilians . 'it's an unbelievable world to set a movie in' ? Is Matt talking about Iraq?

  • Why Iraq?.. Afghanistan not sexy enough?
