Silver composed many fine tunes, but "Pretty Eyes" is to me his best and seems about as perfect as a musical piece can be. The Henderson-Shaw front line is one of the best. "Pretty Eyes" is a classic.
it does not languish nor make you wnat to leave the room it brings you into the song and allows you to share the inner vision and is warm it flows over you, talks to you and allows you to answer inthe affrmitive.thats what real Jazz does.
his music is like from another universe....but funny...sometimes he looks like mos def

@Oodikss
This is off the Cape Verdean Blues album. Musicians were:
Joe Henderson - sax, Woody Shaw - trumpet, JJ Johnson - trombone, Bob Cranshow - bas, Roger Humphries - drums, and Horace on piano of course!

I think I enjoy Horace more than any other Jazz artist. . . not only is it soulful, but it's got that suave hipster feel to it.
