This is wonderful. It is so truly just it’s own thing. As opposed to what we are increasingly confronted with. Manufactured digital musical commodities. Designed with minimal attention span in mind and lyrics that are primarily pandering to the seriously intellectually challenged. Algebra Suicide is good medicine to protect us from the pernicious influence of that sort of stuff. I recommend regularly listening to Algebra Suicide to get the best results.

I can't believe she's gone. I am so glad I did get to see her in person. I saw her in Chicago in the 80s and had her cassette up until just recently. This is one of my favorite songs from the 80s too. She was so very talented and it is so very sad that she is gone at such a young age.

The progression in this is almost the same as the VU's "Heroin". I remember Algebra Suicide playing occasionally in NY in the early '90's but never got a chance to see them. She was the"other Lydia" (as opposed to Miss Lunch) and was sharp as hell. But this cut always made me think it wasn't going to end well for her.

I just found out about Lydia. I knew her from her shows in chicago. Always very fun. She loved David Cassidy, for real..I spoke a few times to her after she moved to NYC..then lost touch!! I remember her and her poems and songs so fondly..giving out algebra suicide combs..Telling the audience not to share them because you might get lice..
