sure bush is not that concerned... bin laden had nothing to do with the usa. Ok the bush people gave them weapons for money, but that normal, thats how friends acting.
The Constitution does not prohibit torture -- it doesn't even contain the word. It prohibits 'cruel and unusual' punishment, like cutting off an 8-year old's hand for stealing a candy bar. Yes, low-level people who get waterboarded are likely to give false information. But Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the #3 man in Al Queda -- he had information and we knew he had information. They got it out of him. It saved American lives. Thank God for waterboarding.
Osama Bin Laden hasn't been much to worry about. Bush went after OBL and took out the Taliban which is why he was in Pakistan to begin with. Obama says its OK to put a bullet in OBL's head, but not water up his nose ? Killing is OK, but waterboarding at Gitmo is not ?
@zl1vette427 I understand that it may be necessary and they are not in America, but the Constitution states that there shall be no cruel or unusual punishment, water boarding would probably fit that category. I believe he, as an American, is trying his best to stick to our principles
@zl1vette427 - the problem with torture is the unreliable information obtained.
Imagine yourself in the position of being tortured, they keep asking you for information that you don't have and they keep torturing you, what do you do?
Do you start to say things you think they want to hear to get them to stop?
Then, in his second debate with Kerry, Bush claimed he'd never said what he's shown saying here. (And Kerry let him get away with it, just like he let him get away with grossly misrepresenting the meaning of the Dred Scott decision.)

@zl1vette427 You know that there is report from the interrogators that says waterboarding was actually causing us to get information slower?
