This band only made one CD because of conflict that started early in the studio. Soon after the CD was recorded, Billy began making disparaging accusations about the other members in public, and his band mates responded in kind. They all looked like whinny brats, and the public became disgusted with the entire bunch.

I saw the Pixies back in the day -- they were amazing -- I caught them on the first reunion tour -- it was OK. I have no intention of seeing them now, they might as well call this go around "The Pathetic Gimme Money Tour". As for Kim, she looks and acts like what she is, a burnt-out old ex-junkie. Honestly, it's sad. She really was quite fetching back in the day. I would have gladly fucked her brains out.

I never would have believed that the Pixies would be doing has-been tours either. Back in the day, Thompson and Deal both made fun of fossil acts. I really don't care if anyone is gay, but Kim most definitely is not. Kim is divorced, she was engaged to an editor from some music rag. She used to pick up guys on tour. Yup, except for "The She" TK sucked. Mountain Battles sucked as well. I don't think that any of Thompson's solo CD's sold more than 25K copies.

@MrSloika what abt the Smashing Pumpkins has-been tour? it was a disaster from what everyone says, i was at one of the Fillmore residency concerts and they played the most bizarre setlist, the whole show was up and down. i remember a bunch of girls i was with completely just left during the concert and waited for me outside. i believe it was during "Gossamer" or something, i WAS pretty high after all.

I never expected more from Billy. He was always honest about his desire for money/fame. Thompson/Deal, on the other hand, really had some alt/underground cred back in the day, that's why they are such a disappointment now. BTW, the first time I saw the Pixies was on a TV show called "Night Music" hosted by David Sanborn. They did Monkey and Tame. Tame blew me out of my damn seat. The vid is on YouTube.
