I agree that Pacquiao's level of competition doesn't stack up to fighter's like Leonard, Ali, Chavez & Robinson, but I've never seen a fighter continue to destroy and disfigure people like Pacquiao has been doing. Yes, Margarito, DLH, Hatton, & possibly Cotto & Clottey may have been damaged goods, but these were still some of the most vicious beatings I have ever seen. He's maybe not the best ever, but he is the most vicious & destructive fighter of our generation without any doubt.

Pacquiao is really the best boxer because he beat de la hoya(20 lbs drained past his prime), hatton(got KO'd by mayweather and looked awful in his tuneup fight) cotto(catchweight, nd got destroyed by margarito possible by plaster) clottey(was in defense mode for most of the fight) and fought margacheato(@ catchweight for his 154 lb title,) and margarito had been destroyed by shane mosley and looked awful in his tune up fight...lol

If manny was the best, he'd never feel the need to tell a Lightweight (Marquez) to go up 3 weight classes and no less than 147 pds or he wouldn't fight him. Mayweather was criticized heavily for making Marquez go to 142. Margarito the Super Welterweight weighed in for pac man at 150 and Pac man weighed in at 144. So to clarify, pac man wants a Lightweight to move up 3 weight classes, put on 3 pounds less than he required a Super Welterweight and 3 pounds more than he himself EVER weighed in at.

I used to box before and I know how it feels when you are up in the ring alone with another boxer who wants to punch your head off your body. It is automatically instinctive for another fighter to always have this competitive spirit to take advantage when your opponent started to show some weakness.
It is never compassion but the killer instinct of a man dominates within his genetic codes to knock out a staggering opponent. But Pacquiao is the exemption. Therefore he is the best and the greatest boxer in the history of mankind.

I agree that Pacquiao's level of competition doesn't stack up to fighter's like Leonard, Ali, Chavez & Robinson, but I've never seen a fighter continue to destroy and disfigure people like Pacquiao has been doing. Yes, Margarito, DLH, Hatton, & possibly Cotto & Clottey may have been damaged goods, but these were still some of the most vicious beatings I have ever seen. Mayweather was criticized heavily for making Marquez go to 142. Margarito the Super Welterweight weighed in for pac man at 150 and Pac man weighed in at 144. So to clarify, pac man wants a Lightweight to move up 3 weight classes, put on 3 pounds less than he required a Super Welterweight and 3 pounds more than he himself EVER weighed in at.

I saw highlights of just his 50's fights and he was basically the perfect fighter. If he's not comfortable with his situation (e.g. age, weight, etc.) then don't get in the ring. You still dont get it. mayweather has little chance of beatig manny after all the bouts the world has seen. floyd can duck 2 to 3 punches, but not 4 to 6 punch combinations. do the math!!! Pacquiao is a guy with power, pin point accuracy, a proven above average work rate (200 punch average per round), stamina to last the entire bout, absorbed the most powerful welterweight shots and countered them. there's more....

But Zab's work rate (less than half of manny's), accuracy, and power is nowhere near manny pacquiao's. I hope that's not even a debate in your mind. if floyd manages to sneak that overhand right he's so famous for, do you think it has enough power to bring down pacquiao? NO!!! @MIZIKE69 first of all, my heroes are ali, ray robinson, ray leonard, hagler, all black american fighters. so being a pacquiao fan took me a while. i've watched boxing since the 60's so im not a young fan you might think succumbs to a few warranted opinions. i've watched mayweather jr's fights since he turned pro and have been his fan way before watching manny. floyd is undeniably technically skilled. but as analysts have said thru the 2Ks, floyd ducks not just punches but prime elites.

@leozab Sorry, but I disagree. These fighters that Floyd beat were also people he was "ducking" before, but once he whips that ass then all of a sudden they weren't elites. For example, they say Floyd was ducking Shane Mosley for years, he came in and beat his ass after he became the super WW champion and #3 p4p fighter in the world, and then he wasn't elite anymore. No one gives Floyd credit for his victories it makes no sense...

Being too young to have seen Ali at his best,Pacquaio is the best boxer i have seen.To come through the weight classes as he has,is nothing short of remarkable.Add to this the fact that he has remained humble throughout his career,never disrespecting his opponents,either before or after the bouts,& you have the kind of champion that should be presented as the "ideal" to our youth.

@MARKCHAOS: Go back and look at all the weigh ins for the last 5 or 6 fights that Manny fought. You will see Manny outweighed all of his opponents at fight night's weigh in. I say this was the devious strategy of Roach and Manny to weaken (dehydrate them) their opponents and so that Manny can outweigh them on fight night.
