DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE IF YOU TEXT MESSAGE. The person at RIMM who designed the text messaging function on this phone should be FIRED. Be sure to demo the text function thoroughly before you buy.

Alright, so i have the blackberry world edition, and im looking for a phone very similar to it, but with updated software and so forth, so would the blackberry tour be my best bet? Because all reviews convince me that is correct.

actually i think the Tour IS replacing the world edition , not the curve or bold like most people think.

The Tour is the replacement for the 8800 World Edition. It too is a World phone, and should have all the latest and greatest from RIM.

I pick mine up tomorrow. CAN'T WAIT!

the blackberry tour has the largest screen resolution - 480x360 - larger than the bold- no wifi but i never missed wifi with any other phone-

the Bold looks like it has the biggest screen out of the three. Bold has wi fi and 3G...I would pick the Bold, seems like the most versative, and useful out of the three. the blackberry tour has no wi fi , which sucks.

The Tour has 3G also, it runs on Verizons and Sprints EVDO service which is CDMA carriers version of "3G". If you get the phone unlocked it also has 3G functionality in European countries but not for US GSM carriers such as AT&T and Tmobile.

Nope, Verizon uses a CDMA network which doesn't accept sim cards

Its a great phone and anyone who is on Verizon and Sprint should pick it up if your in the need for a qwerty blackberry.

My only major problem is the lack of wifi. Though it mentions World Phone, if you travel a lot WiFi will be missed.

I was in New Delhi, India and I used Wifi on my Bold to use Skype which would kill me in data roaming and usage without Wifi.

Though if you have a good International Plan you should be fine, if not, good luck at airports or hotels.

If you dont travel, buy one
