They're making a movie? And they're calling it Rain? Two horrible ideas.

This is possibly the worst imaginable choice of a game to make a movie out of.

It's already like a super-movie where the audience gets to decide what happens. Making a movie of this is like being jealous of someone's banana split and claiming you are going to make your own, just without the banana, or chocolate sauce, or cherries, and most of the ice cream too.

In all seriousness, it DOES make some sense to make the movie because the story is too profound NOT to be told to more people and, like you said, cinema has a greater following than PS3 ownership

But they're really going to have to bust ass to even come close to the quality of the game

This game is so beautiful, I like the fact that they took such a dangerous risk in choosing story and atmosphere over action, I bold move, but the game is so amazing for it. All these compliments are coming from an Xbox 360 owner. While I have no intention to sell my Xbox for a PS3. I am considering buying a PS3, because I believe both consoles have merits. This game is a gem on Sony's crown.

Just started playing this for the first time and I noticed something.... this takes place in Philly!  If you aren't from Philadelphia, you might miss a lot of the cues, but they must have studied Phila. for their visuals.

when I first played this game and this came up I knew I was in for something different. This game is so beautiful, so sad, something you don't really see even in movies or books. I'd imagine that they're going to do something of a prequel, kind of like the Heavy Rain Chronicles that were never possible, due to Quantic Dream's new projects. I just hope they don't screw this one up...

This game is indeed getting a movie version courtesy of New Line Cinema and Quantum Dream Production sometime in 2012. The opening of this game is amazing, really establishing the mood of the game. David Cage, its director, producer and main writer also did another game sometime ago 'Fahrenheit', known in North America as 'Indigo Prophecy' really did a great job. I hope there is another sequel for 'Heavy Rain' with different characters.

@akatsukimercenary I agree that it is an amazing game with a great story and characters. I just don't understand why they have to gold dig it and make a movie out of it. We already know the story and how it turns out. I wish Hollywood would just leave great games alone. If David Cage wanted to be a billionaire than he should have went into Script Writing for movies instead of games. I don't think this is a good move on the Entertainment Industries part.

And as far as I'm concerned, it's an amazing thing. I only hope that we see more from the creators of Heavy Rain, and more of this new type of entertainment.
