Well, I went to a GameStop store at around noon of June 23rd and the guy said it would be shipped by around 4 PM. I didn't go back that day and just got it at the Planet X ( a GameStop subsidiary ) at the mall when I went to see Transformers 2 with my friends. There's really nothing special with the "special" edition. The promo codes work both on standard and "special" disks. So the only main difference is the box art and the concept art booklet.
