depends on the version, the b&w was about 18000 euro and the color about 40000 euro, but my prices are a little bit old, you better look at the manufacturers it could have changed. (keyword z printer)

the price depends on the active volume of the model, there is also an online calculator available from the service provider (see homepage link on my web page - here links are removed) - price ranges from below 100$ to several hundered.

The size is not limited as models can be sliced automatically and later glued to a large model (meter ranges).

cool! im seing this tech would be widely used by conceptual artist (3d modelers, 3d character designer and enviroment designer) in 5 years to come. im buyying this 3d printer after3 years or more lol :D . how much does it cost to print out that hand model? in dolars please.

A thin layer of gypsum isplaced on the ground, then the printer uses standard ink jey technology to print a special colors solution on top. Those places get solid while the rest remains a powder.After about 3 hours the model is compleded and needs to be digged out using a vacuum cleaner. To make the surface more durable usually a special coating is used, for example epoxy or cyan glue.

maybe a small translation helps a little bit.

base for the 3d print is a 3d model,for example you can use any 3d program like 3dsmax,maya or even blender a free tool.

The data set then must be checked carefully by the manufacturer using this 3d printer (from z corp),

in the film example the new color printer is used with 300 x 600dpi resolution.
