Agreed, explaining which is the DST (first?), STTE (2nd?), IPI calculator (3rd?), Playmates talkback (4th?) and Playmates standard (5th?) might help.

I have the middle version. It has the best opening sound effect of all of them. Very true to the original Communicator.. Very, very nice.

3rd and 5th have the best sounds.

Really nice. But since it is a comparison: which is which? A short explanation about the producers would be welcomed.

@jkno - Agreed. All these versions of the Star Trek 'Original Series' Communicator have qualities that are 'fascinating'. Some brief background info for each version would've been the icing on the cake.

All in all though, thumbs up for this video!

P.S. Good, constructive criticism on the music - It is too high.

Sweet i wish i had one that really worked in real life
