1992 chevy c/k 1500 Z71 4x4 it had 51,000 origanal miles on it got it from a guy that was shiping out to iraq ran great for a year then i sold it for 3600
Alright the guy who claims to be the expert is stupid; know what your talking about or get the sand kicked in your face, the eldorado has a 500 c.i. motor the sister motors are as follows,368,425,472 and the 500;it was made from 1970 and discontinued in 1976 it came in coupe devilles, hearses, ambulances(in the 70's they used cadillac s&s,and miller meteor hearses for them),limosines, and eldorados it and is lighter than a 454 and just heavier than a 350 chevy and C.M.D. make performance kits.
Heck on E-Bay I got a 1993 mustang with 4 banger and it was a convertable,152 bucks.Had 60 grand on it and ran great, rusted out but hay 30 miles to the gallon.
300$ for a 96 VW Jetta. Put another 300$ and it is running like new. Interior is mint and so was the body. Cannot beat a 600$ daily driver giving me 25+ MPG.
1982 GMC Caballero Diablo (El Camino SS without the body kit)
$250. Drove it for 200,000 miles and sold it for $750. (had 152k on the clock when I got it)
1985 K5 Blazer 4x4 with a 6.2 diesel $500
Drove it for 15k and rolled it off roading, chopped the top off it and replaced it with a top from another K5 that I got for free, then drove it for 80k.
1991 Toyota Celica GTS = $800. Rolled it down a mountain street racing. Got a gnarly scar on the back of my head from that one...
I have a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 in black with tan leather. Its front bumper is broken and the driver's seat leather is a cracked a bit but I got the thing for $2000! That's a hell of a lot of class for two grand, really goes to show you how far you can make your money stretch with a bit of research.
My truck was free... inheritance biaches! lol, but I give sick credit to guys who really find deals on cars. I always thought fox body Mustangs are the best deals - u can get a good running, nice body 5.0 Mustang, 19 yrs old, for like $2500. My friend nearly sold me his, good thing I didnt buy it though.
$3000 got me a 01 malibu ls with only 50,000 k on it tranny dosnt slip and the engine has a very snappy throttle responce fun little car to zip around town in

@zi110 no it doesent i tried typing in a zip code from quebec and it didnt work so use the closes us city area code and use that try your zip though first because maybe its because it was in quebec? so idk try both if not canada use the other strategy
How about 800 Bucks for a 97 Neon Expresso! 135K miles, manual with the 150 HP DOHC, power everything, it all works, runs like a dream, still gets 35 MPG highway, and it only weighs 2400 lbs. I'm gonna put some slicks on it, strip it out, drop the AC, new shocks and springs and BAM! pocket autocross racer for $1800 that can beat a Miata.
Haha something is telling me this isn't their original thought.. I'm thinking they watched the top gear america challange where they all bought cars for a $1000.. also I think that eldo can use a steering alignment lol....
bought 1990 2dr toyota corolla sr5 for $600, then 1986 crx si, then 1983 volvo for $1200....the volvo lasted me from 2002-2006 with some repairs....i totaled the corolla in the poconos in 2002, and the crx had some rust on the frame, so would not pass PA inspection, but my friend's dad who was going to sell it to me let me use it for a few months.... fun to drive for a while anyway, like a go-kart....my point: beaters rock, so long as you have a backup one waiting for you!

The 1973 Eldorado's overall length was 222.4 inches with a 126.8 inch wheel base, The 2010 Suburban's overall length is also 222.4 inches but has a 130 inch wheelbase.
I got my 95 Grand Marquis for $1200. One owner, old lady 134,000 miles on it when I got it. It needed no work at all, all I have done to it now is put new brakes, tires, alignment, and just the regular maintenance. My neighbor was nice enough to let me have it for cheap when my truck bit the dust.
I bought my 94 miata for 1000 bucks. Although I did have to rebuild the differential and it had 225K on it... I deliver pizzas and thrash it around daily... It drives like a champ. Plus what can beat a convertible at that price? Earlier generations can be found on craigslist for around 1500 with reasonably low milage. With some patience you can find an awesome miata. Matt, get a miata beater. It would be perfect.
i just bought a 92 s10 lowered 4 inches with all beltech suspension painted white and grey with green flames down the side. it has a 4.3 v6 and flowmasters and beats the snot out of all the camaros and firebirds and other trucks that ive raced and i only paid 700 BUCKS for it
@EatmyDust1311 I'm turning my Raptor into the best camera car in history, able to get shots from absolutely anywhere. There's no point to spending the money on something like that unless you plan on using it. A dyno tune, for a N/A engine, is only useful if you do other mods, and then re-tune the car to compliment the mods. You won't get much out of a tune by itself on a N/A engine. I wouldn't fuck with it though, since SVT knows what they are doing when it comes to this truck.
@EatmyDust1311 as in, if you get a catback exhaust, intake, and headers, you want to re-tune for those mods. If you bolt any power-adders on, you optimize them by getting a tune.
@EatmyDust1311 whatever, that's not the point. I'm just saying that you do your bolt ons first, and then re-tune. no point in getting a tune if there's no mods to tune for.
@indi3 those are fantastic buys on the cheap. Make it look like a generic detective car with steelies, tints, antennas and a search light, and people will get out of your way on the highway... tried it, awesome.
great vid. This 1000 dollar think has more a crowd than most internet market rallyers pretend not to exist. Another note abourt cheap, is focusing either on a good chassis and bad engine, or great engine bad chassis..compromising lands a 1000 dollar cars all the time.

1964 Dodge dart with pushbutton automatic transmission paid $400 for it. Put about 2grand into getting it running again and got me an awsome classic cruiser out of it.
I bought a 1990 Ford Bronco with 170k miles off of my friend for 1 grand. He didn't need it anymore, and the only thing wrong with it is an oil leak off of the rear main seal.
About a month ago i saw a black 1996 Mustang GT with 170k KM on it (just over 100k miles) sell for 1900 bux. perfect inside and out. came with a magnaflow exhaust, CAI, and a short throw shifter.
@TheSmokingTire I already own pretty much the exact same thing and it was apraised at 7k a year ago. I was tempted tho. But having 2 of the same car makes little sense. But it would be fun if I had one to build up while daily driving the other then overnight it would look like it transformed into a beast.
I actually found an Eldorado on Craigslist for $1000! It doesn't say what year it is though, it may or may not be a 73!
I almost got a 76 Deville for $400 but that thing was way too big for me (a foot longer than your Eldorado!)
Also, there used to be a used-car lot in Philadelphia called Harry's Cheap Cars. Most of his lot was giant 70s Cadillacs, but there were also a couple 80s tin cans. Some were worth it, some weren't.
Im not from the US, so i just dont get this car, as in why anyone ever thought it would be a good idea to make a car longer than a semi truck, but have less horsepower than a vacuum cleaner. and why is the rear legroom nonexistant but you have a boot (trunk) you could park a fiesta in????? WHAA someone please explain it to me
@rikwatson200 It's a Cadillac that's why. Nothing they make makes any sense. Except for the CTS-V. But even that is basically a rolling brick of plastic.
I just looked up that CarsForAGrand website, and found a very tempting 190-series Merc, that I could clone to a 190E. Thanks a ton for that website. I'm sure the 24 Hours of LeMons guys will be happy to search through this website.

I bought a 1990 Ford Bronco with 170k miles off of my friend for 1 grand. He didn't need it anymore, and the only thing wrong with it is an oil leak off of the rear main seal.

Hey Matt
Good episode.
About a month ago i saw a black 1996 Mustang GT with 170k KM on it (just over 100k miles) sell for 1900 bux. perfect inside and out. came with a magnaflow exhaust, CAI, and a short throw shifter.
Thats a hell of a deal.
DaBluedude100 1 year ago
@DaBluedude100 yes it is, buy and build a drag car!
TheSmokingTire 1 year ago
@TheSmokingTire I already own pretty much the exact same thing and it was apraised at 7k a year ago. I was tempted tho. But having 2 of the same car makes little sense. But it would be fun if I had one to build up while daily driving the other then overnight it would look like it transformed into a beast.

i got 1999 acura 3.2 tl with 175,000 on it for 1500 cuz some minor dings and scratches. still runs like champ and i got 205,000 now

WHAA someone please explain it to me
rikwatson200 1 year ago
@rikwatson200 It's a Cadillac that's why. Nothing they make makes any sense. Except for the CTS-V. But even that is basically a rolling brick of plastic.
q123477 1 year ago
@rikwatson200 it was the 70's. people did a lot of blow then and didn't make much sense.

I just looked up that CarsForAGrand website, and found a very tempting 190-series Merc, that I could clone to a 190E. Thanks a ton for that website. I'm sure the 24 Hours of LeMons guys will be happy to search through this website.

Great car, these guys need to set it up in the UK too. Or get some people to. I wish i had a car like this to cruise in around London.

You could get the Eldorado or two E30's. I'll bet C.F.A.G. is a good place to get cars for the 24 hours of LeMons.
Also, can we get TST shirts anytime soon?
